  1. Ridiculous as usual. You must enjoy ignoring anything that comes out of the mouths of the senior management and coming to your own dour view of things.
  2. We would definitely be happy if we'd done the business Reading had done. Bar Marriappa (who I'd have as a squad player) everyone they have signed would make our first team. Whether I'd want them at the expense of squad unity/signing too many to destroy team spirit is another matter. Happy with Jay Rod and Davis so far, but am getting slightly concerned with our lack of recent signings. We still need 4/5 more in my opinion and would have felt more comfortable having them in early. If we don't sign anyone this week I'll start to become more worried.
  3. Reading shaping up nicely, wish we would crack on and push through a few more.
  4. Oh well, if he did genuinely laugh at the idea of coming to us he is not the kind of player we want around. As has been said already, he's played 24 games for Cheltenham and gone to the Euros basically as a mascot. No way he's worth the kind of money being talked about on here. He might become worth it but in our position we can't risk it. Would much rather Kasper, still young and already better than Butland.
  5. We were already 2-0 up when he went off so I'd hardly say that the substitution 'changed the game'. Cork is better for sure, but Hammond was doing a fine job on that day and at the time I was disappointed to see him have to go off.
  6. Exactly, and having brought the subject into this thread he just tells everyone to shut up when he has been proved wrong. A bit pathetic really.
  7. If you can name me one club in the EPL that sells out every single game in a season I'd be very impressed... A bigger stadium might mean that some fans who thought they couldn't get tickets for whatever reason or attracted to go to games, it might mean cheaper prices, who knows? You said that they struggled to fill out Loftus Road, my point is that for the majority of the season your statement was incorrect.
  8. Actually they don't - I live in Shepherds Bush and attempted to get to a few games last season, all of which were sold out bar games against Wigan and Stoke etc. Even then it was nearly full. Apparently they are close to selling out their season tickets this season too without them even making General Sale.
  9. Surely we'll beat Bolton to this signing if accepted?
  10. On TUI a poster has spotted Coventry's young defender Conor Thomas at our training camp. Next one in?
  11. Cracking signing for us. Absolute bargain on a free and should go straight into the team to give us a bit of experience. Can see him and Morgan starting the first game. Could this also mean we see a bit more of Cork on the right, played well there against Coventry. One question though, if we could have had Guthrie would people have rather had him? For me no, but interested to hear what others think.
  12. Finally got through and sorted it on the 01271 number. Keep trying folks.
  13. I can't believe how badly today is being managed.
  14. I just got through on the phone and they told me their server had crashed so they couldn't process anything. Saints you are outrageously ****.
  15. So has anyone managed to get through in any form yet?
  16. The fact the phone system does not and basically has never had the option to place people in a queue is utterly ridiculous.
  17. It just cuts me off straight away. SFC ticketing absolute crap as usual.
  18. Absolutely useless. The phoneline doesn't work either.
  19. On the phone it just goes dead too - anyone got the alternative number?
  20. As predicted everything has crashed
  21. Assume the lettering and numbers will be white?
  22. Two things about this latest development: a) There is no way we'd offer 6m for Butland b) If we did there is absolutely no way that Brum would turn it down.
  23. Great player, 1m would be an utter steal. Been to see QPR a few times and has been the stand out player every time.

    Twitchy Gone!

Exactly. Instead, we ended up with Davenport and Bernard (two of the worst players I have ever seen in Saints' shirts), his son who, whilst a good player in his day, wasn't fit enough at all for a relegation battle. He should have kept us up. For all the pundits saying "oh Harry's picked out another gem here" they seem to overlook the 15 or so duds it took for him to get that far. Even at Pompey where he is lauded for picking out so many good players, he also signed some absolute dross. Vastly overrated, no man management skills at all, can't improve a struggling team without replacing it. If I were a chairman I wouldn't touch him.
  25. He was utter garbage when he came on against Cov in the last game: slow, disinterested and then celebrated like a lunatic when we went up...newsflash Jason - you played little to no part in our success. Can't bring myself to like the bloke after everything that's supposedly gone on. If the price is right get rid. Wasn't good enough to hold down a place in the Champ once back even though we didn't have a stand out right mid, won't be good enough for the Prem. Let's cut our losses.
