  1. Adam Blackmore says its 20 per cent. so I'd probably trust that.
  2. Are you going to keep repeating this fatigue point? It clearly wasn't the only reason we couldn't score...!!
  3. Adam Blackmore says 20.
  4. This is about right, no chance we'll get hold of Sigurdsson though.
  5. Blackmore saying on Twitter that the Celtic sell on clause is 20 per cent.

    Puel out

Funny how other PL clubs manage it as well (let's not pretend that Arsenal, City etc. change every single player between a mid week European game and a PL game at the weekend, in fact I'd be willing to bet they, on average, change fewer players than we did between our Europa and PL games).
  7. Is a bit concerning that he isn't a regular. Anyone know what calibre of player he's up against for a starting spot?
  8. Except that Everton rejected Chelsea's advances for Stones, got another season out of him and sold him for more the following summer...
  9. If we have an equivalent summer to last this year and keep Puel we will be relegated IMO.
  10. At least it'll be over with quick and kick start the other inevitable sales. I'm sure its not the case but it always seems like we are chomping at the bit to get rid of our best players every summer (deals get sorted super quickly when we are on the sell side) and then take an absolute age to sort our own house (managers, new signings etc). Not fun to be a Saints fan during the close season is it?

They still did better than we did in the Europa League...
  12. Now breaking news on the BBC. Another typical summer from Saints awaits - a lot of hot air about not needing to sell and we are half way to selling our best player in the first week of June.
  13. When you say weak on defence I presume you mean not confirming that he would obliterate millions of innocent people if he could possibly avoid it? Agree that he is a bit vulnerable to questioning on IRA links.
  14. Just depressing. Talk loudly about a hypothetical imminent threat and then throw up your hands when someone responds that using a nuclear deterrent isn't a good thing.
  15. Was good of an audience member to remind that guy that "pushing the red button" would mean the almost immediate destruction of millions of innocents. Bizarre that anyone would be in favour of anything other than the ultimate last resort.
  16. So she was better at deceiving the audience and making it less obvious that she wasn't addressing the issues? Get her back to No.10. FWIW I don't agree with you (but respect your view) but if that is the best thing that a person who has admitted he's voted for her party can say about her then it truly is a sad state of affairs.
  17. Out of interest, why do you say that? Can't see that he's done any worse than May tbh.
  18. Not necessarily a Labour voter but Corbyn does speak with a lot more conviction than May does.
  19. May doing her usual, stumbling over her words and using generic sound bites to answer questions. She just repeats these stock phrases that are related to the subject area regardless of the detail of the question. Will be interested to see Corbyn later.

    Puel out

Maybe, but those that want Puel to stay say that we should back him and allow him to build his team with players he chooses. If that is to happen his future must be decided and it sounds as though it won't be for a few weeks yet.
  21. No one has suggested we sign Begovic to sit on the bench (unless I've missed the post) they were suggesting we sign him to replace Forster. The OP said he wasn't good enough for an 8th placed team hence why he was signing for little old Bournemouth. My point is they only finished below us on goal difference so it's a bit rich to dismiss him as not good enough for us. We are a bigger club than Bournemouth hence why I for one am disappointed that our points tally was the same as theirs (bar goal difference).

They'll act decisively enough when it comes to accepting bids for VVD and Bertrand that's for sure. Shame that we are going to go into another crucial summer on the back foot. Whether Puel stays or not this dithering must surely put us behind in our transfer planning.
  23. The same plucky Bournemouth who only finished below us on goal difference? Thought so.
  24. Not sure what that's supposed to mean. If being 'entitled' translates to wanting a change following a season of watching some pretty drab football then yes, I suppose I am.
  25. This and the fact that the season ticket price remains the same or increases slightly every single year yet we finish the season knowing that we'll be watching a completely different team at the start of the following season. I've renewed but going to Saints is a family affair for me so I wouldn't ever consider not renewing but I can completely understand why some people are thinking twice about shelling out £600-700 for another season of cr*p football if Puel stays.
