  1. Seriously. Any time a player waves a pretend card at the ref it should be yellow
  2. Casemiro makes them tick though. The replacement is McTominay
  3. JWP to rub salt in, please
  4. VAR should have a look at that
  5. Antony looks like he was auditioning for Buffy the Vampire Slayer
  6. At the risk of summoning a goal - United are there for the taking today. Just need to keep our heads near their box
  7. I know United aren't out of first gear but we're competing here
  8. Why do we ignore the overlap so often?

  10. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Barrington_Declaration "While the authors' website claims that over 14,000 scientists, 40,000 medical practitioners, and more than 800,000 members of the public signed the declaration,[44][45] this list—which anyone could sign online and which required merely clicking a checkbox to claim the status of "scientist"—contains some evidently-fake names, including: "Mr Banana Rama", "Harold Shipman", and "Prof Cominic Dummings".[46][47][48] More than 100 psychotherapists, numerous homeopaths, physiotherapists, massage therapists, and other non-relevant people were found to be signatories, including a performer of Khoomei—a Mongolian style of overtone singing—described as a "therapeutic sound practitioner".[47] An article in The Independent reported that the false signatures put claims about the breadth of support in doubt.[48] Bhattacharya responded by saying that the authors "did not have the resources to audit each signature," and that people had "abused our trust" by adding fake names." Also worth noting it was funded by one of the Koch brothers which is never a sign of selfless philanthropy.
  11. So might Oxford...
  12. That's why it will happen. Saints don't follow convention. Just ask Rasmus
  13. After his histrionics on Sunday I can see Fernandes getting sent off in this one. Then us going on to be dominated by the 10 men left on the pitch.
  14. Is it time for the team sheet meltdown yet?

    Ruben Selles

Yesterday's result doesn't mean Selles is rubbish in the same way the win at Chelsea didn't mean he's the Messiah. We've had one good game and one shit game. As Selles said in his press conference - the only game that matters is the next one. It's a process. Question is whether how we learn from Saturday and what we do next.
  16. Their model gives us those odds. 34% chance of staying up. Which seems about right. Like you say if we beat Leeds that is going to change.

He also said it's not about him - it's not about the whole squad and coaching staff. And that he only cares about the Leeds game so no point talking about beating the drop.

Is it wrong to be looking forward to the pre game presser this much?
  20. Gracia has a work permit. Leeds are just using the Nathan Jones psychout playbook.
  21. It counts if you win it. Apparently he only lasted 10 minutes before he pulled up which means his minutes per assist stats are the best in any league in any European division. Let that sink in.
  22. Eddie Howe says Pope doesn't deserve to miss the final. Which is funny, because after that studs up lunge from Guimares at St James Park I thought he didn't deserve to make the final.
  23. There is an experienced Premier League manager that's newly available. Assuming that his injury playing in the Dorset League isn't a deal breaker.
  24. 100% win rate in Dorset League. 100% win rate when Jones starts. The stats don't lie.

    Ruben Selles

I wouldn't say he's great (yet). I'd say he has communicated well, the players put in a shift for him and I enjoyed watching Saints yesterday. After the Nathan Jones induced fever dream of the last three months that feels like having Pep in charge. From what I've heard from Selles I want him to do well beyond the usual wanting any Saints manager to do well simply because he's positive, articulate and excited about the opportunity in front of him. But, Leeds is next weekend. We are Saints and it can all turn to shit in a heartbeat. Nice to dream though.
