New York Saint, thank you for a good post about the current situation, makes a pleasant change to read something positive rather than the constant dribble the bed-wetters have been posting on here lately about the clubs motivation and ambition. I read today a post from a guy on the Echo Saints forum Ive cut and paste it below:- I have my own construction company and employ a dozen lads of all trades, I have a very good reputation built up over a few years, if I wanted to sell my company I would not let my best tradesmen go but if a bigger company offers them better pay they would go and there is nothing I could about it so not to bankrupt myself. I would hopefully look to add and improve the staff so my reputation is not damaged, also I would not spend money on improving my yard, and head hunt a new forman, I would not spend a single penny. Same thing happening here at Saints, so the issue of asset stripping, and selling up is far from the truth, also all I here is we are losing 7/9 players for godsake three out two in all the rest is paper talk, maybe more will go and more will come in, remember our new manager may not rate some of our players as highly as you do? And might want to build his own team.

That is an old U6 meter, also its imperial, hence the cubic ft rather that cubic mtr mesurment. It is likely that the meter has done one complete revolution, zeroed itself and started again. You can check this from your previous gas bill which should have a readin on it, if its something like 9999.99 then thats whats happened. You could ask them for a nice new E6 smart meter to replace it.

Anyone know a Sky TV engineer willing to do a job cash in hand.
Block 18 replied to Marsdinho's topic in The Lounge
Does not have to be a sky engineer, any RDI registered engineer can move a satelite dish for you. http://www.getmedigital.com/find/tv-aerial-installation?gclid=CKGi2aX-rLkCFZQZtAodwiQAFw -
Think that this paragraph partially explains the reason for the high rate of the disese in certain areas of this country. Coughs and sneezes In the UK there has been a small drop in the number of people suffering from the lung disease, with the West Midlands having the second highest rate in the UK. About 75% of cases were among people born in countries where TB is more common, mostly South Asia (60% of cases) and sub-Saharan Africa (22%). Among people born in the UK, those from ethnic minorities remain most at risk, as do the elderly and people with a history of homelessness, imprisonment or drug or alcohol abuse.

Should and could the Saints offer to hold a fund raising game for Aldershot who are on the brink of liquidation? We did it for Bournmouth a few years back when WGS took his side to Dean Court but we got no thanks from the Bompey. Would the Shots be appeciative or would it be history repeating its self with no gratitude shown for the gesture. What do you think, should Premiereship Saints help out a local team in difficulty, your thoughts please.

And that would be such a shame would'nt it

This is one of those cases when both parties look bad. Speaking as an ex serviceman I applaud the employee for showing his gratitude to the Armed Forces. However, he is employed by a company which has a dress code, a dress code to which he is expected to abide by, regardless of whatever cause he may be promoting. You have to bear in mind that Morrisons is a food outlet, therefore staff have to comply with all the health and saftey that entails which more than likely does not allow for additional items other than basic uniform. A fact he probably signed up to when he took the job. Back in the 70's I was part of the Naval contingent for the November ceremonies in London, I did both the festival of remembrance and the Cenotaph. We as part of the ceremonies we not allowed to wear poppies, they still dont wear poppies if participating and not one of them makes a song and dance over it. Seem to me that whilst he probably thought he was acting out of lets say national pride I'd say he was misguided in his actions.
