having just read Bobby Robson's autobiography and read what an unbelievable amount of crap from tabloids and papers one of the decent gentlemen of English Football had to put up with, it is entirely understandable if some managers such as Ferguson decline to be associated with the press....everything they say can very easily be misconstrued and contrived by sensationalist hacks....the managers don't have the opportunity to recant or explain their comments once an article has been written without it spiralling into a plot of cover-up and counter-comment....if they don't talk to the media, they can't be put in difficult positions- simple....

who gives a ****? We as a club don't make any money out of them so frankly, why should be in any way concerned or bothered?

disappointing result, but even more disappointing reaction....the players and manager are under enough pressure carrying the tag of favourites without their own 'fans' booing them after 1 game....morons

- Decent perfomance in first half, Dickson and Puncheon did okay, some nice interplay but no end product - Barnard playing too wide, and then Connolly isolated in the box getting useless high balls in the box aren't going to be much use - no one had the bottle to shoot, desperately need a back-up for Lambert - Hammond crap as usual, uninspirational, doesn't distribute well and can't hit the target with two free headers- needs replacing with a midfielder who gets stuck in not the end of the world, long long way to go, but expected more from this afternoon....disappointing....

No, I agree with you entirely, but I reckon our Scandinavian/Nordic input has served us pretty well over the years, and they don't tend on the whole to command ridiculous transfer fees....let's get more in!!

just out of interest, who feels Scandinavian players have, on the whole, been a success for us??....am thinking back down the line and we've had quite a few (can't think of any Icelanders though...?) As a race, they're physically robust and meant to be ideally suited to the English game....

having come back from a school tour over Easter, there is only one grass pitch on Malta and it's in the national stadium....ll the rest are artificial pitches, which there aren't any of in League 1!!!

Building a club back up agian takes time....he came in late and had a lot of catching up to do in rebuilding a squad and a club that had nearly imploded....it will take time and a bit of patience....haven't we had enough managers lately?? a bit of stability and common sense is what's called for here, some people have very short memories when you compare where we are now to where we were 12 months ago......

thought he played fairly well last night until his carding..... what really ****es me off is how that lobster faced **** Gleeson was allowed to grab someone by the throat and gets a yellow, and when Morgan pushes him away, he gets a red.....grabbing somebody by the throat is actually classed as assault on civvy street.....I'll be very disappointed if we don't appeal on the grounds of self-defence....

WOOOOT!!! 3 points is 3 points, but at 2-0 up at halftime, it would've been nice to see us kill the game off, especially with them a man down....I was starting to hope the days of us squandering leads were gone....maybe 2010... :0)

show me a better and more able coach who is available and willing to come to a League 1 club....we need to be realistic about who are we and the situation we're in.....I agree we're underperforming at the moment, but instability has killed us for the past 10 years and it's not what we need right now.....the club may have stabilised but the team, as yet, haven't had the opportunity to do the same......
