did you see that grossly over-hit last pass? and it wasn't the only one.....I like the guy and am not one of those on here who have a permanent downer on him but can't convince myself that he's PL standard.....would love to be proven wrong though......
-
seen it, but was all over the web yesterday that it was off....wait and see I guess.....wouldn't be unhappy with Olsson instead though.....
-
Jagger can actually still deliver his songs and has a very tight band behind him to deliver.....I saw McCartney join Springsteen at Hyde Park and was disappointed at how poor he was, even if anybody would get blown away by The Boss......
-
a pretty positive afternoon all-round......think we deserved the draw and Fonte gave it away for their goal, two chances we should've taken.....like the look of Clyne and JWP....thought Gazzaniga did okay, still getting used to his defence....Guly still too inconsistent, Lambert a bit off the pace, worry whether Rodriguez has the physicality for this division??? but overall, not unhappy with the performance.....decent shape and good movement....can't get used to watching us in that kit though......:/
-
McCartney is actually 70, but yes, his voice is getting very weak, can't hit the tougher notes anymore....anyone else notice him being out of time with the backing track in the first verse??
-
and this is confusing the hell out of me.....last I heard, the deal was off and Fulham were in for him???
-
was a good day for the club all-round then? ;o)

“We think that we have developed one of Britain’s finest young defenders through our academy and then given him great experience playing first-team football. He’s certainly got the ability to be a very good Premier League player and we will not be accepting their offer but going to tribunal." and why, may we ask, would you go to the trouble of developing one of Britain's finest young defenders and then not make the effort to tie him in to a contract that reflects your investment????? if he opts not to stay with your club, then it is clear that he wishes to develop his game somewhere else and a fee is decided accordingly..... is this really newsworthy???

Brighton: tinpot club, no history, no nostalgia, no class, no credibility, no respect I suspect they feel that if they have a 'traditional rivalry' with someone it makes them credible and longstanding as a legit football club...... they're a comedy act orchestrated by King Clown Poyet what does stick in my mind is that Poyet was mentioned more than once on here during the wilderness years as a potential manager for us.....the thought chills me to the bone whatever happens next season, I believe NA will go down in the club and supporter records/annals for all the right reasons....I desperately hope he is successful with our club as he strikes me as an honest, decent and passionate man......personally, one of my disappointments during the dark years was that we stopped being many peoples' favourite 'second team'.......'Southampton, tucked away on the South Coast, never going to win the league but always capable of beating anybody on their day, and never an easy place to travel to.....a breeding ground for some great young players'....I loved that underdog tag.....I've had various feedback about NC, in particular from a friend who is the Chairman of a championship club, and it wasn't complimentary, but ultimately, I feel like there are standards at our club which are sadly lacking in this day and age, and that NC and NA are the men to take it forwards....please forgive the Daily Mail style rant, but it feels great to feel good about my club again after so long......COYR!!!!!

we're gonna walk this league without Forecast ;o)

looks dangerous....watching the kit made me feel quite nostalgic.....

very encouraging.....great to see the youngsters given the opportunity, sounds like they didn't let us down.....good start.....what kit were we in tonight btw??? COYR!!!!
-
great stuff from Sharp....going to be some seriously healthy competition for places up front this season....lovin' it!!!!
-
hopefully, in chains, that can never be broken, and he will be left there when the rest of the squad return home.......
-
no, it was Van Halen
-
no, in the case of Juventus, there was evidence that the club itself had fixed games....this refers purely to the activities of an individual, like Hansie Cronje....there will doubtless be investigation but unless we have acted inappropriately, then we obviously have done nothing wrong.....

now on wikipedia, the fountain of all knowledge.... SouthamptonOn 17 May 2012,Yakubu signed a five-year deal with Southampton F.C. for an undisclosed fee and was assigned the number 17 shirt by manager Nigel Adkins. -
surely McCann merits a starting place? the worst footballer I've ever seen in a Saints shirt.....
