Sitting in West Quay taking stock....first 20 minutes, we were woeful and Burnley looked the Premiership side....Clyne goal a cracker from nowhere, Rickies was a well-taken finish but 2-0 up at ht flattered us.... Second half was best and worst, woeful defending to let them back in to it but we looked a different side when Lallana replaced Ramirez....third goal was odd...I was in the Chapel and thought I heard the whistle during our build up and thought it was our penalty before J-Rod finished it off, great finish from AL for 4th, had view obstructed for their 3rd.....overall exciting Second half but reinforces that Hooiveld and Ramirez have no business here any longer....everything tried to go through the middle but had no one to unlock the door until AL came on....

Fox spent the entire game tucked tightly in alongside Hooiveld, exposing a huge amount of space for Spurs to exploit....I disagree with Hooiveld trying, he'd given up with half an hour to go, got beaten at one point and simply stopped and gave up....embarrassing to see a performance like that from a Saints player....on the whole, today was appalling, only a couple of players looked like they were vaguely up for it, and people need to stop banging on about Ramirez's 'world class' pass to Lallana, one decent pass is the least we should be expecting from a player of his calibre...

Anyone else feel that this could be a pivotal moment in our season?? After exceeding expectations for so long, two away defeats at tough grounds, this is the kind of game which will show just what we're really all about and have the nous, management skills and calibre of player to deliver??

Given the fiscal prudence that NC has ruthlessly displayed throughout his time here, I'm not in the slightest bit concerned whatsoever...given his financial background, I bet he can account for every penny the club spends....yes, we've spent a bit of money especially for us but its still a **** in the ocean compared to the money that's been thrown around the Premiership in recent years....time to buckle up and enjoy the ride....it's great to be a Saint

my stream froze momentarily just as SRL was stepping up....luckily it came back on immediately after a few rude words!! VW MotM for me....his ball control had been questioned on here before but everytime he had the ball, the WBA players just seemed to bounce off him....I thought the ref was poor though, some ****e decisions....Ramirez didn't do much when he came on but right now I'm high as a kite!!

fantastic start...deserved that...looked very good in patches....great save from Boruc to save the 3 points though....bloody great feeling, away win on opening day, COYR!!!!
