Didn't do anything wrong today.....has a very upright/chest-out running style and perhaps not the quickest but didn't get gassed by anyone today and looked strong in the air

Ipswich shut up shop in the second half and packed the defence....don't recall them having a single shot in the second half.....everyone seemed scared to have a shot on goal but Wanyama was immense today, nothing got past him....

I think the pay rise was fairly substantial, but I always felt it was an odd move. It would be his last major move at his age and let's be fair, he was never going to be their main front man. Not much room for sentimentality in modern PL football so the chance to set his family up must have been the driving force. Also noticeable that no one on here has so far suggested he come back to us on loan as an alternative to Pellè.......
