The draw was against 10 men for virtually all of the second half.. and until that point Coventry were heading for the win playing with an already very depleted side. Arguably Still had the harder fixtures. We’re still not finishing top 6.

As it stands at the moment, Eckerts appointment will end in a mid table finish, just outside the play-offs. Of the five games, only the Charlton game has impressed me. QPR and Sheff W are crap. Leicester were riddled with defensive injuries and we lost to Millwall who have the worst goal difference in the top half of the league. I’ve enjoyed the wins and watching Scienza shine, but we haven’t turned a corner imo, we’ve just played some really poor teams. I like Tonda and hope he does well but he’s going to have to grow some balls, drop the shysters and challenge the board to get some critical positions filled with quality players. If SR want him in so much, I expect them to back him in the January Transfer Window.

Other than the last sentence, isn’t that exactly what we need? For me there is only one major contributing factor to our upturn in form and that is Leo. He has settled in and upped his game. We were back to being not very good without him on Saturday and lost to a team that, I believe, a decent manager makes changes to stop them closing us down every time we try to get the ball beyond the back line.. and we win.

Joe has been ok for us, unpredictable and a bit of a donkey, but ok. He’s finished now though, shouldn’t be brought on again. We need energy and commitment from our subs, Joe just doesn’t have these attributes any more.

Should have changed something at half time today but didn’t, just continued with the same routine and it was clear that Millwall had sussed that out. Subs were poor in the second half and made us worse. I’m back in the “keep looking for a new man” camp, there’s no major rush and we’ll see how Tonda fares when we’ve faced a few more top 10 sides. Today was a let down.
