  1. Another 700 passes and 2 goals in 93 and 97 will do.
  2. If we don't take this seriously and default the game with a team that's just to fill the team sheet it will be another Grimsby put as many in and try to one up with a tactic to get ball in box with 2 taller players upfront. Its likely to be a U21 team though and usual excuses why cup games are not priority anymore.
  3. Unbelievable end to game makes a change that Saints keeps battling till final whistle. Interesting to see how many goals we let in after 90 mins last seasons, must be half the games.
  4. No creativity just stadard playing ball looking for gat that never appears. I don't understand modern managers they all read the same manual and produce robot players. Wrexham hardly did anything but nearly scored 3 from incisive thinking and passing. Has tge market for thinking a midfielder disappeared.
  5. Rubbish first half, we are not at the required physical level to compete at championship level. Wrexham just knocked us off the ball, I the air up front too. Too much RM football, why can't we buy forwards who sn kick the ball first time. So much messing round, back side nonsense. We need a proper game plan that works, crosses to very small players when taller players on bench. Second slightly better only srated running in last 15 mins. Manning free kick outstanding and Stephens saved the day, he is an example of hiw to run and attack the ball and players. I really hope Still is not another RM tactician.
  6. Bloody hell RM is back. Too soft a team, slow, boring passing. We need a tall forward who can shoot first time. Wrexham tacking the pics. Embarrassing
  7. RM will win title. Doesn't matter what formation he plays most games guaranteed 3 points, that league is a pointless competition.
  8. No trains? Is that engineering works? Blimy the bus won't get there in time.
  9. Noticed the news too late as just got back from work and had 404 web error but sold out. Anyone who can't make it on Wednesday 2oth August but had tickets I would appreciate any tickets for my Son. You got to be on Saints site 24/7 which I can't be at work !!
  10. Not much chance of getting an away ticket at this rate. I've got 3 from last season but looks like there are at least 2,000 fans that have been to 10 -7 or 6 games and will then be buying up all the tickets when this year's allocation takes priority. Anyone get a Watford ticket with 6 away?
  11. The whole season is going to be about Wrexham so with out points tally last season it should put the spotlight on the away team and away from Saints. Dibling and Fernandes won't be in team and likely to be gone anytime soon so that's another reason why its nonsense to have Saints 2nd fav for title. Not sure what championship teams are like in terms of quality but Wrexham will be a good marker.
  12. After last season much more positive on the basis that we created more chances than 6 games in Prem. We still take too long on edge box to put cross in and shoot. Too many touches. But at least it looks like football now. Saints 1-1 Wrexham.
  13. Entertaining game and Saints much better 2nd half. Can't believe actually watched some football. Stephens played well, decent amount of blocks. Baz 3 good saves. Wellington, Suga , Edwards , Charles did a good performance Robinson played very well MOTM Armstrong, can't afford to leave him out. So apart from Brighton passing through us too often at least we kept going and plenty of crosses. The food Pizza to small, not actually a pizza and too expensive. Burger was very good but at £14 for burger and chips it's a Red card. The ordering system just created large queues at half time and you have to collect pizza at one end of concourse and burger at other so ones cold by time fight through people back to seat. 3 points for South West Trains as both trains were on time for first time in a year.
  14. Lost 0-1 I'm not on the train yet!! Southampton XI: McCarthy, Sugawara, Kayi Sanda, Wood, Edwards, Welington, Matsuki (Akachukwu 47), Bragg, Dibling, Robinson, Stewart. Brighton XI: McGill, Veltman, Coppola, Simmonds, Kadioglu (Slater 47), Milner, Yalcouye, Buonannotte, Gruda, Sarmiento, Welbeck.
  15. Can't be more than 23 to 24k season holders.
  16. Just don't have any Pompey fans at all. Keep it simple to police, more Saints fans can watch the derby, no riot in town, no trouble at train stations or car parks. Could save the £250k on police bill and get a striker from leaque 1
  17. New team, new food menu at St Mary's. One of those should be an improvement from last season. I just don't want to be watching boring football again. Not many seats sold in block 43, wake me up if I fall asleep.
  18. Its like planning permission meeting for housing estate or motorway it's all agreed already so one of those have to do tick box exercises. Did anyone raise the issue of passing back rather than concentrating on scoring goals.
  19. May as well sell him otherwise it's a waste of a player on the bench, not selected or not allowed to tackle so cng play any games to full potential.
  20. Saints won't in first as we don't have enough players to make a starting 11. Then 2nd half 7 subs. I really can't see Brighton putting a decent team out it's not like they will struggle against Saints.
  21. I don't think they will risk players getting hacked. If it's last game the main team is already decided. The last friendly is normally the run a round for the bench warmers.
  22. I get impression the manager deal was done on the basis of 'see what you can do with the team thats here and expect lots of sales. It's likely the style of play will be the same if the bulk of the 11 plus bench are same as.
  23. Anyone know how much we have spent on players and income from sold players to date?
