Good luck to him. Always been a model pro and a very good performer. I think he can flourish into a great player. Not sure that West Ham is the right club for him to do that, as they’re a bit of a basket case, but that’s his prerogative.

No club can thrive with the level of player sales that we churn through. Even if our scouting department was actually good, the level of turnover is just too high. When you also throw in the fact our recruitment team are as useful as a chocolate teapot, you can see where things are headed over the next few years.
