I have just spoken to the fitness instructor in my gym, who also happens to be Brentford's fitness instructor. He told me that as well as being a top chap, Ryan was the fittest player at Brentford. He also said that the move had been on the cards for six months and that Reading were also after him. Lastly there is no way he will take being second choice left back. I am friendly with one of our players at that time. He told me that Harry had nothing to do with training at all. This flies against the accepted wisdom that Harry seems to spend a lot of time on the training ground with his players. This suggests he was unmotivated/disinterested, as to why I obviously have no idea. The player concerned said he was the worst manager he had played under!
