Looking immense today!
-
Wrexham look much weaker on paper than last year, and playing more like a league one side. Wet Spam decent but Wrexham shocking
-
Best GD in the league
-
Does anyone know much about Princewill? Sounds like the decision is that he is now the 3rd choice striker? Dont think I have ever managed to see him play - but on paper he is 6ft 4 which is encouraging?! Almost 21 as well so isn't a total kid
-
Also Edozie needs replacing properly if he goes / kicks off too as our bench was always going to weaken us tonight with the exception of JWP.
-
Painfully obvious Mubama can't be the only alternative to Larin, especially now Archer has gone. Guess that's why we are pushing the Charlton fella but this feels a little late.
-
Pay up for that Vegard Forren mk2 guy
-
Let's get the Norwegian in and pit him alongside KS! Wouldn't mind us getting Mehmeti in on loan, but still need a big lad in central midfield I think
-
That Morgan lad at West Brom looks like he'd be a great asset.......
-
Hugely impressed. Proactive, strong, a leader. Get someone similar alongside him and we'll be well away
-
£5m is amazing?!!!!! Edit - seen it's a windup!!
-
Why would we sell him at a loss? We paid £20m no?
-
Yeah just generally, not great technically, too small to be a real aerial threat, not particularly quick, not clinical, trying to think who Id like him to. Just a bit of a pest really. Che Adams perhaps, but less physical?
-
Live in Suffolk so seen a bit of Azon. Id be underwhelmed really for that price. Id take a loan. A pest, handful, presence but pretty crap and wastes chances. Overall a material downgrade on Stewart but able to play 90 twice a week. Easy to forget he's still young tho as looks about 36
-
Kenny McKenny left Ipswich, interesting, presume that means no £8m release clause for them...what a shame.
-
cant remember what happened that season but dont we equally have an argument too?
-
Dan Neil would make sense if Jander/Charles off. Free, only 27 etc
-
Id like to think Gibbo is still furiously trying to find something on Hull, any possible loophole to justify a shit football team getting a fourth chance at being promoted beyond their capability before their other competent players follow Azaz out of the door. Perhaps he'll stretch to putting up a fence and hiring a manager who isn't better placed for a Kleenex advert too. Pair of cu***
-
Stewart must feel he owes the club. Dibling needs a loan....would like us to get a few good ones in from the start of the season this summer instead of waiting till Jan
-
Perhaps he can be held personally liable - we don't know what he did and didn't sign. But not sure what we'd gain by going after him. Imagine he'll struggle for work with that on his cv
-
An important part of our healing process. Let's buy Morris just to spite them. Hull deserve it, nothing to say we'd have necessarily beaten them today. So, fair play. Meanwhile Boro can sink without trace.

Jack Wilshere? Heckingbottom? Javi Gracia?

Ignoring out of contract players, from the current squad we will lose: Peretz and Larin, THB (20m), Jander (25m), Scienza (25m), Charles (25m), Ramsdale (20m). Like him or not BBD was a key part of a side who almost made the playoffs, so there is either a use case or some income there too. Likewise Sugawara we might get a couple of £m. We need to keep Downes, but for £20m or more he is replaceable. Sign a strong CB and the back four stays the same with the addition of Roeslev as backup to Bree, presuming he regains fitness. To my mind then, we need a GK, decent ball playing CB, a flair wing player, two solid CMs, a big target man. Need to use the loan market effectively and remain smart about who we sign, we cant afford another Damion Downs cock up. That Morris guy at Boro cost them £5m, Morsy for Bristol was free, Dan Neil for Ipswich on loan, etc. Think we need to remember that Jander, Leo, Azaz etc were only £12m, so the trick is going to be recruiting smart again this time. A real shame we need to go back to square one with it after building a strong squad, but its do'able, and I dont buy that money has run out, its just a case of staying the right size of the rules (!!!). In a sense its good that the squad is in the right shape at the moment, as we just have to aim for "like for like" replacements as much as possible with comings and goings. Above all, we could do with Spors being vindicated, remaining in post, getting a new manager in ASAP, and commencing the work early on unearthing more like Jander, Peretz etc.

Sorry, are we now saying the spy wasn't Salt, it's not even a current SFC employee, and indeed one we recently sacked who was previously employed by Boro??? Thought it was clear cut it was Salt, he deleted his LinkedIn, etc.

The notion that somehow Boro should profit from any punishment dished out to Saints seems flawed. If anything, they should go back and play another semi final against Wrexham, OR Hull should get a free pass in the final. Boro had their chance and lost.
