Stranger things have happened on this site over the years.

Could be heading this way in a few years

As someone has else posted, fees are relevant to the period in question. £1.2m for Fonte huge for a League One club 15 years ago, £12m for VVD in 2015 was market rate from Celtic. Bednarek for £6m from Poland was a Championship top 10 fee by then, Hoedt and Vestergaard at £17m a pop bottom 6 PL by 2017/18 when the TV payments jumped and so did the transfer market 2016-19. The odd bargain with the right development attributes - Fernandes for us, Semenyo at Bournemouth - great - clubs like us and Brighton can’t afford market rate across the whole XI. But you’ve got to push as hard as can to get close.

Prime example being this brainless female presenter on Fox later in this short clip. The male interviewer got it, penny dropped about how stupid Trump’s been. European don’t buy Dodge Rams because they are gas guzzling, unreliable, their transmissions seem to pack up within 40000 miles when Honda and BMW ones are just worn in. And try driving something that size around narrow Cotswold streets. https://www.ramforumz.com/threads/near-new-ram-dreaded-transmission-problem.290013/

The Starmer Years - Can The New Broom Sweep Clean?

Estimated $1500 extra per household pa in everyday costs for essentials such as furniture, sugar, cars, and petrol. And because they will go in 4 years so as he says, there is no incentive to shift supply chains so firms who don’t go bust (the smallest) will just hold off investment. In other words, it’ll hit MAGA’s lowest and medium incomes hard, not MAGA billionaires. Empathy with those who didn’t vote for them. ‘Tariffs are a national sales tax’ - laptops up 10% for example. Estimating $1800 per household extra cost of living. The really dangerous chart for us all is that bar chart showing that floating voters, Democrats and even some GOP voters are saving money in January at record levels and not spending.

@whelk Another little tasty morsel of justice

Don’t waste your time SOGGY

I can’t stand them either but there’s 3-4m who have voted against him before and who might turn in terms of civil disobedience and attacking GOP politicians. The killing of the health insurance CEO pre-inauguration shows what a volatile and unpredictable country it was already but he has worsened it much further still. It has bubbled up with DOGE and the fiery town hall meetings which have shocked their Senators, when everyday foods and goods soar with his loony tariffs it could really go up in flames.

When they’re in Romania avoiding extradition to the UK, and the White House envoy to Romania lobbying their justice dept for their return (they are Anglo-US joint citizens) https://www.thetimes.com/us/news-today/article/why-the-trump-team-lobbied-for-tate-brothers-return-to-the-us-zrh6njr5c and https://news.sky.com/story/the-tates-and-trumps-inner-circle-the-deepening-ties-that-led-to-the-controversial-influencers-flying-to-freedom-in-america-13318676 Bedfordshire Police want them extradited here but no chance any time soon and frankly if Florida do charge and convict them, I’d rather Florida residents foot the bill for a much longer sentence. -
Vance or some other fascist loon like Taylor-Greene would just take over with Bannon pulling their strings. Anyway, somebody already took aim and missed last year.

Absolutely vile, I hope they told her what a piece of shit she is when holding the dismissal meeting Another idiot with a boomerang effect as well, America produces them on an industrial scale
-
It would help if the Democrats got off their deathbed and mobilised for the mid-terms. They’re just deceased at the moment, given up it feels. If Trump won’t run the mid-terms, then the bigger states have an opportunity to break away from the US, especially Washington, Oregon, Calif, NE seaboard. Some of their electorate have been doing a good job with the DOGE workshops exposing the GOP Senators for the cunts they are all over America, but there needs to be far more civil disobedience and it becoming a real threat to the GOP.

Plus 77.3 million American voters.

Is there one hope left…… oh, there is!

It moves around like a Jimmy Anderson scrambled seam delivery on a firm green top in overcast conditions 11.10am with a new ball. Footballs behave more like that now but not 30 plus years ago they didn’t. -
The sticks are certainly all in Ukraine’s direction. Early on, I suspected Trump was doing it to stop Putin getting his nose rubbed in the dirt, as he deserves to (prefer an open window in a Moscow skyscraper) but it simply seems to be about licking Putin’s arse. And the stupid fuckers in MAGA cheer him on because they don’t like Western democracies either, the ones their grandfathers shed blood and lost lives to preserve.

Strategically that won’t be an issue for them in the short-term, probably buys some breathing space. But when nearer the GE there’s a risk Labour appears neither left or right. Mind you, given the mad shit going on the world, quite frankly a week is like a year at the moment, dread to think where it will be by 2029… -

I’m not getting involved in your argument with Soggy because he can fight his own battles, but I will point out for consistency that Trump did just deliberately import a very likely serial sex attacker (highly suspected of being so and hiding from our authorities) and he is Anglo-American as his brother. But he has similar views to Trump so for the MAGA movement that’s alright apparently. As long as he doesn’t rape any of their wives I suppose. No country should be welcoming sex offenders. They need dealing with in their own jurisdiction, whether Baghdad or London. -
America not strong enough any longer to go toe to toe with them either, even in alliance with Putin https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c4gmd3g2nzqo

Former Head of MI6 was on Times Radio and debunked the spy theory. There’s a good piece on the i which sums it up about Trump’s fascination with dictators which is shared by the far right of the GOP. Different perspective here worth reading though focusing more on transactions and self-interest https://theconversation.com/trumps-move-to-closer-ties-with-russia-does-not-mean-betrayal-of-ukraine-yet-in-his-first-term-trump-was-pretty-tough-on-putin-250359
