  1. It’s tricky and never a position fans should be put in, as has been the case over the last two weeks overall. Personally I don’t see the results continuing with Tonda and I see a hangover next season, but I can also see why people are saying persist because the EFL and media OTT response. The lack of fury at SR is inexplicable and less understandable. They’ve shredded the football club over the last 4 years with horrific managers, experimental signings and total lack of strategy. No wonder 50% of fans are desperately clinging to a damaged manager because he’s the only one who connected them to the club and players. I can’t blame them for that even if the FA report makes it untenable.
  2. Labour have done some silly things eg employers NI rise but fundamentally, nothing is as damaging to businesses as Brexit and the type of Brexit chosen by Farage and Johnson https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c775mx4rnngo
  3. That’ll be as minging as the team SR puts out next season.
  4. Agreed, their fanbase has got x100 more lead in their pencil though. Imagine the reaction if their club had just fucked up like ours had? Dragan is hardly quaking in his boots.
  5. Got far more guts and get up and go as a fanbase, that’s for sure. Giving it to Sullivan for a couple of years and they really cannot stand the stadium, which will be a millstone around their neck v Lincoln less than half full https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/west-ham-relegation-statement-fan-anger-b1283511.html The chant of ‘You sold our soul for this shithole’ was powerful. Our lot can’t even decide whether to change a manager who is probably about to banned by the FA. Even Cheltenham Town fans successfully called for Gary Johnson’s head as DoF early season and it’s worked for them. When your fanbase is less ambitious and outspoken than Cheltenham’s, you’ve got existential issues as a football club.
  6. Only a matter of time before Robert Kenyon, Reform’s candidate for Bakersfield, was exposed for idiotic views and being a general fuckwit. Covid vaccines and Nazis, Holocaust denial and the list goes on. He should connect with MLT online if he hasn’t already done so. Whilst I don’t like Polanski, their candidate who became an MP in the seat Burnham was blocked from contesting combined being a normal white working class plumber with her own business without holding fascist views. https://x.com/doctoriaindarcy/status/2057460311968395750/photo/1 https://www.itv.com/news/2026-05-22/reform-uk-backs-by-election-candidate-accused-of-posting-offensive-comments https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/reform-robert-kenyon-makerfield-byelection-burnham-b2982418.html
  7. Was in the Daily Telegraph IIRC
  8. The main qualification was probably a 7 day membership at Stoneham GC. MLT has been a member there for donkey’s years and Solak is known to play there when in the UK.
  9. As posted elsewhere, this would also buy silence.
  10. 10000% Don’t get me wrong, delighted that Middlesbrough didn’t con their way into the PL yesterday. But I cannot see how SR can recover this situation, the horse has bolted long ago on their watch and the levels on incompetence and laziness on display are worse than anything I’ve seen in a professional context. I wouldn’t let them run a bath. My loyalty is to our fans, very agnostic and apathetic about the football club for the foreseeable future.
  11. Other clubs had their opportunity to present evidence. I don’t doubt Tonda will be gone prior to the FA enquiry which doesn’t have the ability to dock points but can ban Tonda and others seen to be involved from the English game.
  12. Exposing their own activities as well. Tonda will go, that will be the EFL’s price for not examining further.
  13. That’ll be the trade off with other clubs and the EFL which is why there’s no chance Tonda stays.
  14. That’s on the river at Newcastle/Gateshead, or was many years ago.
  15. He’s a plastic Man U skate.
  16. Good on you! Great work. She should be held accountable for her behaviour and it does matter in the public realm and public purse. She’s not there to be a drunken idiot in the pub with her mates, meant to be a professional.
  17. Hints of Botham post-Headingley 1981 there
  18. Ralph put him in the bomb squad. Hoedt was also absolutely horrific in that Fulham defeat. Charlie is a rent-a-gob, caused loads of trouble at Swindon first time around I gather.
  19. A local firm makes high quality cider and Perry (this being the Three Counties area) from excess fruit donated and you get some of their lovely produce in return.
  20. Wonder if one of their Wayne’s goes on a stealing spree at the service station again?
  21. My goodness, Reform really cannot do economic policy at all. As the IFS state, weird to target people doing more than 40 hours a week already (which reeks of inefficiency) and leading to more of the work becoming under overtime, impacting public finances. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cn7p1ee447xo
  22. Sounds like an interesting apple variety growing on the farm.
  23. For all the political goings on, Boro have easily eclipsed the skates for me and loathe them in a way I never could with Pompey.
  24. No point giving it too much thought, club’s fault not the fans or really the EFL’s even though I believe it was a Gibson Kangeroo court. Gibson didn’t prosper in the end. Heat was a huge factor today and will be more so in the WC coming up.
