  1. Pretty highly rated though, ‘Klopp of the Alps’ and ECL with RBL.
  2. I think you’re right Manny, a damning verdict on the owners and the fanbase don’t seem capable of opposing them. Need to get them to attend a few West Ham, Rangers and Sheffield Wednesday games to remind them of how it is done and get them out of their churchmouse state, putting some fire in their bellies. This season is over from a Saints perspective so focusing on Cheltenham Town and Torquay who have plenty to play for and whose players are trying for their managers.
  3. Incorrect I’m afraid. It is plenty relevant if our fans actually make an effort to give SR some clog because commentators remark on it, newspapers and websites report on it, and it would ripple across their multi-club network. Let’s face it, House and Blackmore are in the club’s pocket and might as well be on the payroll they are so partisan. So it’s up to the fans. It’s then up to Solak to decide how much humiliation and directed abuse across his professional and business networks is enough. Or he could appoint a stronger, more experienced manager who controls all recruitment at first team level who isn’t tugging their forelock in gratitude for their job. Saints do far better with name managers and always have. A fact even you can’t argue with.
  4. Well, he needs a Pulis-type DoF and Steve Cooper type manager (sadly at Brondby now) to get a grip on the club and build a competitive and reliable spine. Spors has been yet another disaster. Shouldn’t need this formation in the Championship if football people put the core in place.
  5. I want to see him make more of the big decisions - dropping the Wessex League keeper was a good start - and bomb out the very worst of SR’s rubbish and identify the players you do want. Call it out. Managers get the sack when DoFs screw up anyway so go down with some fight.
  6. Better to drop them and bomb them out of the first team picture if the club is too big for them. Squad is big enough to do that. Say in PCs that they are unselectable for the standards of Southampton FC and if that included the likes of Downs and Archer and Spors/Ankerson don’t like their fuck ups being exposed, tough titty.
  7. What do you think happened in summer 2006? The ownership was fragmented but it did push Lowe out for two years and under huge pressure from the start in 2008 which the future Tory MP (he will join them soon is the rumour locally) added to by sacking Pearson and appointing the Dutch boys on buttons. Sort of dickhead move SR would do. And it 100% got Branfoot gone. Us 1 Guy Askham 0. So 💯 wrong MLG. And the ownership is more clear cut this time.
  8. Still need to push Spors under the bus and put Downs in the bomb squad, bring Aribo and Dipepa into the squad. Robinson was poor today when he came on, Edozie is worth a try but agree not as obvious as bringing Aribo in and alienating Spors by kicking Downs out.
  9. With plenty of Clough-type ‘you need fookin shooting for missing that’. Make AA and Archer wear dick of the week bibs. Downs can wear a Sunday League itchy 1990s style Diadora shirt to match his ability. Jandar’s miss was dreadful but otherwise played well in his core role.
  10. Adams is a miles better footballer as well with only Scienza or Jandar even close in terms of the overall squad let alone the strikers. That’s without his hold up play and occupying defenders to create space. Our current strikers have all the technique and refinement of a massive fart in Winchester Cathedral at Midnight Mass.
  11. The likes of Dipepa are worth a try, at least we’d be more patient with them on the whole. Downs will never be good enough and being ejected from the squad by our u19s and Aribo would be a kick up the arse for AA and Archer.
  12. Items thrown on the pitch en masse (Charlton) disrupting the game, constant chants to sell and calling Spors/Rasmus/Solak wankers, having a go at the kids they appoint as managers, marches from the city centre to the ground (2006). Basically 1992-94 vs Branfoot and 2005/6 vs Lowe which many on here me included took part in.
  13. Trying Aribo up top for an hour would have been a better option - something different. If AA and Archer aren’t scoring or even striking the ball professionally the team isn’t the right one is it? Ask Ian Rush down for a few weeks to try and sort out the other ‘strikers’ during the afternoon sessions.
  14. Here we go, blame the fans, the club/SR is at it yet again on here. How many clubs at this level have an unselectable £7m striker on the bench who is so appalling he couldn't be brought on during a stale 0-0 at home?
  15. If they wanted to score some of those they could but didn’t have the desire and application to do so. Micky Evans v West Ham collided with the post but determined to score. Boring shit players we have with carrot crunching wooden tops clapping them at the end.
  16. That’s on him, if he didn’t think Downs was good enough, and most of this forum didn’t at the time, then needed to leak to the press and push Spors under the bus. Ditto the keeper, put Gavin in the bomb squad and don’t take him on the pre-season tour.
  17. Because we just saw whole blocks standing in silence looking at the players and Still at FT whilst carrot crunchers and wooden tops nearer the front applauded another lukewarm display and players missing open goals. Hampshire = graveyard of ambition for football. Cricket club is better even if they cocked up the two cup finals, at least they got to them with some entertainment on the way.
  18. Time to go Will.
  19. Morons clapping that. Carrot crunchers and wooden tops. Rest just standing there in silence.
  20. That’s me done for this season. Boring as fuck and got better things to do with 90 minutes every Saturday, SR need to fuck off.
  21. He couldn’t be any worse than Downs.
  22. Should be ‘we want Still out’ followed by ‘Sports Republic get out of our club’. But Hampshire is a graveyard of ambition.
  23. Booing of Martinball. And again. Hopeless.
  24. Can hear a few shouts of ‘crap’ from the crowd.
  25. That should have been 0-1, with three CBs that shouldn’t be won easily.
