  1. The game just needs to have been played, there's no way of the club knowing if the ticket was used, or who the ticket was used by. I know that from experience as i missed Palace away last season because i was ill but the ticket counted on my away history
  2. We might've sold that amount for Liverpool and Sheffield United but i'd bet good money that both will have significant gaps in the away end on the actual day as people are buying just to get access to the skates game
  3. The thing is you're getting angry about facts, the fact is the away fans can't hear the northam, it doesn't matter how loud it is it's completely silent from the other end, and like it or not away fans judge clubs on their home fans, and ours sound shit now to away fans. I'm not against the Northam, it's needed, and it's their for a purpose of it's own. But we also need other cultures and pockets, the same way at the dell we had the archers and milton, but needed under the east or the west stand benches. They're different cultures in the same ground. That's what we lost when we got rid of the Itchen North, it was different to the Northam. Hopefully the chapel block takes off and the club don't kill it, because it's decent and it's needed. And it's decent because it's not the Northam. This is completely fair and a completely valid point, it's not one i'm arguing against and it's one from a different place. And if the Northam provides that that's a good thing
  4. Personally what i'd prefer to see is the club getting the nippers from the local estates and inner city back in the ground first, then look at the surrounding areas. Reducing ticket prices for people within x miles of the ground maybe? Or giving kids for a quid if you're from those areas, maybe even bring back the partnerships with local schools to encourage nippers to go.
  5. The idea that some arbitrary area that happens to be within the boundary of Hampshire and happens to have a large number of people living in it means Saints would have between 900k and 1.2m people who would want to go to games is Portsmyth levels of insane bollocks 🤣
  6. Yeah i mean those stats are frankly insane, they count everything in an SO postcode as "Southampton urban area", which if you think about it is fucking batshit. An urban area is a piece of land that effectively runs continuously with no real gaps. For our city - as anyone who's ever lived there will know - is basically from Park Gate/Warsash on the East, to Totton on the west, north to Easteigh and Romsey and south to Waterside and Hythe. And that's at a push. I reckon you'd could argue if you wanted that Waterside, Marchwood, Hythe, Park Gate and Warsash aren't really Southampton as there's a fairly decent gap in housing up to them. But to include just south of Andover which is almost 40miles away, and Winchester - the old capital of England and a city very much in it's own right - in Southampton Urban Area, or to claim that Arselford or Micheldever are, is to completely ignore the geography of the area and basically to claim Hampshire is Southampton (not that i'm personally against the old county name of Southamptonshire coming back, if for nothing else than to piss off the skates). I'd estimate at most the Southampton urban area (close to but outside the city boundaries but more or less connected by built up land) is an extra 100k. To claim it's 500k+ and the 6th biggest city in England? That's genuinely crazy shit 🤣
  7. That kind of completely misses the point though, it's the away fans that will judge it not the home fans on the opposite end of the ground, and a hell of a lot of time you'd see the away fans comment on how good the support was when we had both the Itchen North and Northam hemming them in. Now we're just going to have them saying it's shit because you can't hear the Northam from the other side of the ground
  8. That figure is bizarre and almost certainly wrong, the southampton urban area only had a population of 248,922 in the last census, an increase of 5.11%, i've no idea where the other 543,078 people are in those stats, maybe it covers the SO postcode? But then that goes as far north as Andover which i wouldn't count as Southampton (certainly not the urban area)
  9. Yup that's exactly my point, in fact i think most away fans are going to walk away from st mary's saying it's a shit atmosphere because of that fact. I personally think moving the away fans is probably the single worst mistake the club have done.
  10. It was the worst skate away end i think i've ever seen, so many replica shirts and very few lads, also the collective age looked about 13. Almost no needle from them and they seemed properly meek and wilted really quickly. Also what they did sing was pretty much the league two song book. Thought the bit of the chapel next to them was decent, not exactly loads of songs but did it''s job and was a good mixture of older and younger lads. I'm not normally a fan of them but thought the Beattie flag was actually pretty decent, but for the most part you simply don't hear the northam from the other end of the ground so there's nothing for the away fans to bounce off and i assume the same the other way round
  11. I see they've announced the per-match entertainment in the away end for sunday
  12. never understand why people get a bus from eastleigh, walk round the corner to the taxi rank and grab a taxi from there and it's under a tenner to the city center. Top bloke is Jas' and no doubts he knows a thing or two about the general feeling towards the skates, plus if he says he'll have people wound up I don't doubt that in the slightest 😂
  13. Surely this can't be real aren't all SCUMMMAHHHS terrified of the double hard pompey and they have a pompey shield around them that means they could never possibly lose to a SCUMMAHHH? Yet it seems there like westwood is cowering in a corner and does nothing to leet that scummer steal his wig, that couldn't be possible
  14. I believe the hold up is in sourcing handlers for the monkey petting zoo, the old mush who looked after the smoking monkey at the zoo on the common has passed and finding someone trained in looking after them is proving hard to find. Once that hurdle is crossed though the 70k flexible pricing stadium that some dream of will be a guarantee i'm sure
  15. And to think there's a bunch of folk who are choosing to be the opposite side of the ground to the inbred scabbing freaks, so if that happens sunday they won't be able to see the looks on their faces as their hearts break.
  16. That game was one of the most evil atmospheres i've heard at St Mary's, pure unadulterated hatred everywhere round the ground. The minute they whistled and boo'd Bates minutes silence everything went up a notch and pre game the city itself just had an air of menace, and that was from us not them. Don't forget that night they'd been run down st mary's st from The Joiners and their talisman Eddie had had his wrist snapped, plus they were actually lucky they didn't go further and go into Zeb Bar because it would've ended a lot worse for them if they had. If we could have an atmosphere even half as evil as that night on sunday their players will wilt, because that was proper Southampton, a whole city out for their blood
  17. Funny thing is when you look at all their myths they're always, ALWAYS, things they're actually guilty of themselves. The dock strike myth, the reality is it's them who are the scabs on multiple occasions (including riots on canute road when they brought in blacklegs from popmey to break the strike at southampton docks, and the cross channels ferries being moved to them in the 80's when they broke the strike then). Scummers being "scared", despite Potsdam, The Joiners, Lords, The Rose Bowl and Covent Garden and even the last cup game at Fratton when one scummer scattered all of the "welcoming committee". The dialect bollocks, yet it's southampton that has a song with mush in it that pre-dates them using it and benches in town with the word on it,, and their own university running a study that concluded there's no such thing as a pompey dialect. The attendance thing despite them having had lower average home attendances than us for almost a century, despite them not travelling well for decades, despite them having sub 10k attendances on multiple occasions. The we're more working class myth, despite their most famous fan being an antiquarian bookseller from Petersfield and their city being richer than ours. The "men went to war from pompey and not from scum" myth that ignores that the biggest place for the d-day landings on the south coast was Southampton. The idea they're sleeping giants when in the last 100 years they've barely been above us in the league, and barely been in the top division. They're insecure walter mittys who just need to be put in their place and reminded they are lying, insignificant cunts who's only contribution to this country is that anyone that's there is there to get out of the city. Fucking horrible little shits and the country would be better off if they a hard border around it and kept those cunts in their own island to inbred
  18. Fucking myth making cunts, stupid thing is in doing that they're going to make everyone aware of the fact that we had higher attendance than them with us in league one and them in the prem. The walter mitty cunts really need to shutting the fuck up.
  19. The one that is mentioned directly after the sentence "if the rumours are true" It was a full back who the club are excited about (now done as it was Mads) and two players on loan was what i was told, i don't know if the keeper from Norwich counts as one of the loans but assume he does. Knowing the person who told me very well, and knowing who they'd had a meeting with just before meeting me meant i had no reason to doubt it at all.
  20. If the rumours are true he's already on his way out, loan with an option to buy to Bristol City apparently
  21. If the club monitor this board then there's a simple message, you do NOT fucking lose this game, losing isn't even close to acceptable, if the players don't leave every fucking piece of themselves on the pitch, if they don't fight for every fucking thing, if they don't leave their boot in on every challenge, if they don't break those cunts, they shouldn't play again. This game isn't about football, and if you support saints because it's a football club it's not your game either, this game is about the city. Those horrible little lying, scabbing, insignificant cunts don't even deserve to be allowed in our city. Them, their piss stained sex pest of celebrity, the banjo headed cunt and every single thing associated to that city aren't welcome here and need to be taught their fucking place and sent back to the shithole they live in. Portesa Isand is the clagnut hanging off the arsehole of the UK, we'll steal their food, mock their inbred population who chase paediatricians out of their city because they think they're peados, we'll remind them that sotonians are just better than them and that they don't deserve to fucking exist. Limp wristed Eddie, dockers rotting corpse, the yokel cunt in the documentary talking about their "dialect", Dinenage, Morduant, and every single one of you pricks i hope you leave in tears. I dont give a fuck what else happens this season we have to beat them, it's a two game season, this is game one. Fuck the skates, fuck their myths, we're Southampton, we're better than you.
  22. What i love is how they run around telling everyone they're double hard terrifying fans who everyone fears and respects. But the reality is they're inbred weirdos, who's most famous fan is an antiquarian bookseller with hygiene issues and they had a nonce corner with soft toys. Absolute fucking joke of a club and it's almost embarrassing we have that shit stain scabbing city so close to ours.
  23. Think he got banned for being a sex pest in the women's toilets, no idea if he's allowed back in now. The bigger question is do they still have peado corner?
  24. As if we've ever been successful enough to have principles 🤣 Jesus christ we're a club that's won ONE trophy in 140 years. ONE The only principles we should have are "do whatever the fuck it takes to break that god awful record". Absolutely everything else is just pure arrogance and should be ignored, "Principles" are why we just got relegated having almost broken the worst points total ever. We are not even close to good enough to have them. Win by cheating, win by hoofing it, win by boring teams to death, win however the fuck we can, just fucking win.
  25. No a club should put winning and finishing as high as possible first, because that's all that matters.
