MLG, the skates have had quite an unbelieveable slice of luck here do you agree? Skates bombed out of the PL as the first ever club in admin, in the year the PL parachutes more than doubled along with the timeframe... its almost as if it was rushed through to stop the skates liquidating and exposing Redknapp, Storrie, Scudamore, Zahivi and presumably many more. ... Followed by another stroke of huge fortune by the increase in broadcasting royalties this year, kind of a double bonus really, wouldnt have imapcted the skates without the original slice of luck. As SWF chief statistician , would you be able to compare the difference in revenues they would have received without these mental increases against what they are going to end up with? Those parachutes.

Thats a bit harsh on my supporter base, Hypo sings my name from his location. I think its sad that soft WUM types like Deppo/Bearsy and Dog get banned just for being silly and or funny, whilst the intelligent WUM types like the ones you mention who have the ability to mock, insult and bully others whilst carefully staying within forum law get to run riot! In fact, maybe that commands respect rather than a ban?

I was thinking the same at the time, though in the main us Saints are a pretty respectful and dignified supporter base. Along with the outstanding OWTS for the players lap of appreciation, it was a show of class... NC against their cockney Liebherr against robinson/'hnw'/pcc/Chinny/pdt Poch against whitts SMS against fp Hot water against fatty pipes Sammy Saint against tcwtb SFC Players against mercenaries Saints fans against skates Worlds apart.

Cultural differences spreading further south
holepuncture replied to holepuncture's topic in The Lounge
Indeed, I am wary of this, as BTF pointed out these monsters are in the absolute minority when compared to 'white' citizens, although is that simply due to the population proportions (ie they are the minority because they are a minority population in the UK)? The article also demonstrates that the network of abusers in this case spreads up and down the UK and as such it has infiltrated many of these communities, so perhaps it is now a general issue within these communities? I believe the questions have to be asked, publically and without treading softly, beofre it becomes a generational attitude. I fear its already happening, look after your children. -
Cultural differences spreading further south

I phrased that badly, but it is accepted within some Asian and Arab cultures: children being bought and sold, daughters being given to community 'leaders', beheadings for any of these children that do not comply/ 'insulting the great honour of the family' etc. The article states these gentlemen had clients travelling across the country to use these children. Barbaric, its absolutely appalling what is going on and I suspect this and the reports over the last few years are the tip of the ice berg. -

The issue here is as BTF points out, that the majority of these gentlemen were born and bred in Britain, they have had a lifetime of education and intergration along with all the opportunities that being here brings... -
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/crime/10057543/Asian-grooming-gang-convicted-of-appalling-acts-of-depravity-on-children.html This was largely a northern issue over the last few years (tip of ice-berg), however more and more are being convicted and the trail is going down south... shocking our authorities let these people continue for seven years IMO. Should we be lenient on these gentlemen as they argue their behaviour is perfectly acceptable culture in their country of origin, or should they accept that if they come to a country, take land, money and employment, that they should respect the culture they now benefit from?

Please tell me the skates think they can maintain their crumbling wreck of a stadium, with walls for toilets, fat in the pipes and graffitied alley ways... for less than approx £200 per week? Didnt CSI lump £150K on 'essential maintenence' just to get elf and safety clearance? PMSL

I share your views. I find your antagonism of everyone rather amusing and I am delighted a major forum player with your caliber and pedigree have launched me to almost celebrity status by involving me in your game... however I cant help but think you must have more purpose in life than this... your trolling shows 18k+ posts of this type of material?!

LMFAO how many others share my view that hypochondriac is more important than the Liebherr family now?
-
Im glad you are amused with my question, maybe you could tell natsiedoodia! Do you think there is a chance NC will seize control of the club one day? I have always believed that scenario is entirely plausible.
-
I have been long of the opinion that NC will own the club one day, this is his pension... When the BVI loan came through my suspicion was that NC was buying back some of the Liebherr equity. The Leibherrs are stakeholders of Southampton City, not just the football club, so I would hope that any movement or change is handled professionally... I have no reason to think it wouldnt. It would be a shame to lose either the Liebherrs of NC, though personally I see NC as the most important part here as a PL CEO... ho many others share my view that NC is more important than the Liebherr family now? RIP Marcus

PMSL ... Priceless... they are the bestest or what? Dont tell their current manager, he thinks they are the best in world football
-
They are the horrible money grabbing villians now, thats pompey gratitude... Catlin will come under fire soon enough, weve seen all this before when we were going wilde
-
Good post Around half a billion went through the club, as mentioned by Roman Dubov of CSI... Romans latest venture is 'Gator Golf', recycling golf balls that roll into lakes, car parks etc... Vladimir Antonov has just two months now until his extradition hearing (delayed from Jan).

GM and WT need to get a room, the sexual tension between them is too much for this threads bellyaches. I wonder what the 'leisure covenants' are on parts 2 to 6? In order to bulldoze fatpipes, some sort of sporting or leisure facility is required to blow off the councils restrictions, not that Birch though Chinny would have any problems with that according to his recent mouthpiece... ...but do they apply to the spurs fans land? I imagine 3,4,5 and 6 are ripe for property, SR could even build millwall-esque cage walk throughs on his new estates so that the few can access the pipes from all angles.

A breakdown of who owns which slice of the pie would be interesting..

Had a read through this whilst watching Di Canio being exposed last night, a great read and one I recommend to all... 1)the_riddle takes a firm stance of scrutinising the 'lifers', suggesting that their deal expired when the club went bust etc... 2)then goes on to make suggestions of a deal to force closure on the 'lifers' 3)then suggests a plan is in place 4)then announces himself as a pst director 5)then launches a patronising attack on the 'lifers' 6)then retreats defeated to his lair I love his legalese where its all about the expiration upon the various pfc entities going under... what an absolute fool, in one fell swoop admitting the history is left with the closed down trading entities:
-
Interesting angle, what if the PDT were to sell up, or indeed factions within? If a buyout was forced, would Chinny come back into the fold with some sort of overage or floater for the next ten years?
-
It is a substantial amount of money for the trust... currently they are kicking about at parish cake fayres earning the odd £800... not enough to keep champange iain liquid for the night
-
This is about the standard our beloved factless can produce... this was on the day he was refused entry into the press box at SMS, possibly for the same reasons none of the former skate investors/drains would speal to him. He is a noddy journo at best, factless

Us nutjobs would make a good stab at getting pompey to moneyfields, we are the essence of community here... as Head of Reality I bring to you a wealth of experience 'sales, marketing, politics and service and relationship management' which is second to none on the local football forum... a CV?
