Not a great advert for the prem today.
-
Our crossing has been abysmal.

Or Classie or JWP.
-
Romeu on a tightrope. I'd bring on Hesketh at #10 for him.
-
Strong side, let's do this.

Based on that id be surprised if we were not looking to tie him down on a decent deal. He's been with us since he was 8 and seen what can happen if you go too soon (Chambers, Walcott and Ox). He was our scholar of the year in 2014. The award is a blend of football and academic achievement over the season and he seemed a nice down to earth kid.

Morgan didn't burn his bridges when he left. He can do better than Bournemouth. I'd love to see him back, although suspect Spurs or a European move is more likely.

Sportsmania back!

Sports mania down!

Brilliant from Hesketh and well deserved. Great play from JWP and Long in the build up.

We are playing well tonight and should be out of sight. The midfield of JWP, Classie and Reed looking functional. Reed doesn't look out of place in that company. Hesketh on the evidence of that 45 minutes could be our answer at #10. Not sure about Iniesta, but the way the ball sticks to his feet is reminiscent of Lallana. If Long could finish he wouldn't be playing for us, to be fair he creates chances others couldn't to waste. Austin could have bagged the match ball by now.

Well worth the win. Need to be more clinical.
-
Great start to 2nd half.
-
Redmond onside there ffs.
-
Some reasons to be cheerful. Fonte, VVD and Bertrand look solid. Romeu having a decent game. Tadic lively and we are creating opportunities. Hopefully we will see Austin on for Redmond at half time.
-
Redmond is gash
-
Nathan Redmond should have squared that for Long to miss.

2012-13 season

To be fair to Long, he was actually on the end of chances, unlike his peers. If he had tucked in after the flick from Tadic it would have been goal of the month. As a comparison, we were much much better this trip to The Emirates than we were last year. We are obviously bedding in a couple of new players and also adapting to a new system. We won't hit the heights of 6th this year due to the improvement of others, not necessarily us going backwards. I went today thinking would get a tonking, left feeling robbed by a poor ref but pleased we are not far away from where we need to be.

Shaw is a decent lad, suffered a horrific injury at a ypung age and left us in a classier way than many of his 'mature' teammates. For anyone of those 3 reasons I am prepared to cut him some slack. Your comments are pathetic.

Glad even the Pompey forum applies the same level of hypocrisy as its team.

Based on the above would like to see Bertrand and JayRod get some game time. Guessing others are mainly on international duty or slumming it by the pool (Charlie Austin) -
