  1. You have turned political debate, a discussion about our very country's future, into a slagging match about a football strip from 4 years ago, and you have the temerity to call me a nutcase? What are your feelings on that statement, not in relation to me, but in relation to Jeremy Corbyn?
  2. Avoidance, bravo. #spineless, #unfittolead #cbfry Petit little man. Care to answer the original point, about the suitability of a prime ministerial candidate who will not answer an important question?
  3. We are in an international community where there are threats we cannot imagine, you seriously want to have someone in charge incapable of making that ultimate decision? Jeremy Corbyn will face responsibility that no-one will be able to relate to in that position, and he cannot even address it in front of a TV audience? I'm sorry, but I consider you naive. Heaven forbid we find ourselves in a desperate place like that, but it's best to be in a position where the nation can defend itself rather then roll over. At that point, when life and death takes precedent, a 14% pay cut is somewhat immaterial.
  4. A movement that got what it wanted. Now when I continue my life-long shirt collection, it's for shirts that reflect the club identity I love (as do you, he who would be aggressive even though he wanted the stripes back himself.....) The two red shirts are now merely a curiosity. Welcome to 2013 ladies and Gentlemen. CB Fry, your memory is a marvel. What do you think of the point i'm making? Or are you going to avoid it like Corbyn?
  5. So you do not think the Prime Minister of Great Britain should have the capability to deal with that decision?
  6. It's the ultimate question as a leader. To what lengths will you go to defend this country? That he avoided the question tells me that he unfit to lead. He cannot be pragmatic, he cannot compromise his own principles for the survival of our country. Our entire nations' defense would be undermined by having that spineless individual in charge.
  7. And with that, I am entirely sold.
  8. The badge and UA logo are a bit scrunched.... But, like it.
  9. All about the ex academy lad who came back to haunt us for Midjylland in 2015. http://thesetpieces.com/interviews/interview-tim-sparv-no-stats-star/
  10. I look back fondly on his time here, shirts not withstanding. But, the way he operated would eventually have caught up with us. So, best of luck Nicola, but we've both moved on.
  11. Who looks at lime green and navy blue and goes: 'Nice!?'
  12. That puts Woolston, Sholing.... and Northam perfectly in reach.
  13. Wednesday 24th, 16:00-17:00 hours.
  14. Well, we sacked Sturrock after a win v Blackburn.
  15. I would like to try something a bit different against Stoke. ------------------ Austin -------------------- ---------------- Gabbiadini ----------------- ----------- Davis -- Ward-Prowse --------- ----------------- Romeu --------------- Bertrand* --------------------------- Cedric ----- Caceres - Yoshida - Stephens ------ ----------------- Forster ------------------- Wing backs for width with capable defenders with full back experience who can tuck in behind them. A strong central midfield with a creative outlet in Gabbiadini. A strong Striker leading the line to act as a focal point and pivot to bring the midfield and Gabbiadini into play while also being a threat in his own right. But of course, this will never in a million years actually happen.
  16. I fear there is no smoke without fire. A shame. He needed and deserved more time.
  17. One bit of further depth here. Pied is very much Puel's man, managed him at Lyon, Nice and now here. If Puel goes, would Pied wish to follow?
  18. I can only comment as seen. I would be surprised if there were over 30,000 people there last night. Didn't hear the away end chant 'You're only here to see United' once.

    Dayuse

This has been advertised on TV recently. Mainly trying to normalise the idea of hiring a hotel in the day by business people looking for a home away from home, etc. But yes, it's got one main purpose.
  20. Many empty seats. Especially noticeable on the corners.
  21. Did anyone at the game last night observe someone shouting 'Vote Labour!!!' in a very northern accent while walking through the crowds in the Industrial estate south of the Chapel?
  22. I am wetting myself with anticipation here. Is the season over yet?
  23. Something along those lines, yes.
  24. We played ok, the worst thing about it last night was the frustration and angst from the crowd. Entirely understandable as Manchester United were there for the taking, but it did undermine what was a reasonable performance. My thoughts: - Boufal and Pied looked ok when they came on, Boufal clearly was making efforts not to over-do it after a bit of skill and Pied was eager to impress and showed a good turn of pace on occasion. - Gabbiadini was isolated, again. Could it simply be that people are now wise to him? We can criticise our poor finishing until the cows come home, but at what point do we look to our tactics and match preparation as reason for this? - Tadic, one of his better games. Some excellent link up play. - Targett, clearly bulked out a bit but without the attacking threat from Bertrand we were significantly weakened. - Stephens and Yoshi: Solid again. A perfectly acceptable partnership building there. Man Utd played for a point, they clearly had the quality to hurt us but were more concerned with staying free of injury and tidy. Not to detract from us though as we did control the game.
