We beat Vitesse. The qualifying rounds are part of the competition, it was a short campaign, but a campaign all the same. So, what 'reason' are you on about? As for the song, it's a laugh! Delighted that we have retained Fonte, my favourite player and I certainly do not grudge him an improved contract while is at the apex of his career given the performances he has given in our colours. Of the replacements we have signed, two have been our brightest lights so far: Hojbjerg and Redmond. I really look forward to seeing how Boufal does. Given the lot we have I gain a lot of joy in seeing new names come in and seeing what they can do. Looking forward to how the rest of the season goes.

Jack Wilshere would clearly be excellent for us in terms of pure talent, but based on his injury record I would consider even a loan too risky. Bit of a catch 22 for him, too fragile to be worth the risk, but needs someone to take that risk on him so he can get fit.
