Indeed. But the situation was very clear to him, the club made him an offer to release him and he rejected it. I would suspect that the compensation he received for his contract being cancelled last summer will have 'rewarded' his loyalty.

Yes, Coleman really picked the poisoned chalice. But, he clearly didn't have all players onside. McGeady (I think it was him) was not happy with his training methods. Grabban at least realised he was being selfish. The most unbelievable one was Rodwell, happy to collect his 60k a week and strangling the club with his contract.

Great series, really well produced and shows the ugly (and positive) sides of supporting a club of their/our size going through bad times. My everlasting feel for it is how utterly out of his depth the chief executive was.

Considering that he was subject to a bid from a club in Qatar/UAE either last summer or prior, then loyalty has played a part for him. He has been a part of our most successful sides in living memory. He is not the only player who has recently underwhelmed and deserves a chance under out new coach.

Even if this is not the case, that Targett is already commenting on the increased intensity and focus is encouraging. It just shows how far standards have slipped at the club, fingers crossed it's not too late to reverse this damage before the otherwise inevitable drop occurs.

Sad story. Last played for Dundee. Currently without a club, he's only 26. I would like to nominate: Jakobsson. Hajto. (Better at thundering passes to the left wing then his actual job.) Powell. (Pre match bets as to when he would go off injured.)
