LIVE VIDEO: Pre-match build up of Barnsley vs Southampton
Colinjb replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
29 watching now...... All watching an empty Oakwell..... -
It would just further highlight their hypocrisy if they celebrated it as much as we did. There would also no doubt be some very logical reasons why they didn't sell as many tickets as we did. It is an achievement to win any trophy. I wouldn't begrudge the more sensible few skates that exist the joy of celebration.

Bang! A "happy hardcore" group.
-
Yep! It's as inevitable as death and taxes.
-
Yes. Dad and I had to move out of the family section for the same reason. The rules are easily circumvented if you have a young relative that you claim comes with you even if they never do. I could get some poor unsuspecting (?) girl pregnant, then get back into the family end with a ticket for the three month old child that wouldn't be going for the next few years at least. Similar methods occur with people using the details of nieces/nephews.

As I understand we are already at that destination, it's just not been made public knowledge.
-
Hope so! Really do.
-
Actually, yes.
-
Would hope so. Equally his dissapointing game against Sunderland may be all the excuse Hodgson needs to drop him. The strikers will probably be Rooney, Sturridge, Defoe and an out of position Theo Walcott.

The white van man that rammed into the back of me while I was minding my own business at the Winnall roundabout on Friday was pretty annoying. His 'c'est la vie' attitude to the incident even more so!! No; pay attention to what you are doing you irresponsible ****!

He has a wonderful swagger about him. Hope he thrives here!

Don't get me wrong. .. you make some excellent points but the core of the team is there to really excel. -

So. So happy after that game, we looked awesome. One mistake right at the start cost us the win, our team oozes class...... what a time to be a Saints fan. Only a point... I know. But nonetheless. Buzzing right now. -
Yes, the German head office insists on using this buggy, badly laid out, not fit for purpose piece of **** for our e-mails, calendars and databases.

Puncheon to Palace - Official (Season Loan)
Colinjb replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
He may have been in Poch's plans but as back-up. Given Puncheon's history it wouldn't be a surprise for him to find that undesirable. He requested a move, we allowed it... no contradiction for me. -
Nice idea. Almost tempted to get a Vita on the back of that. Shame it's the classic rather then full version though. I'm guessing it would also require two copies of the game?

College Street always used to work for me. No more then £5 and ten minute walk to the stadium after crossing the railway bridge. Now I just park at Dad's in Winchester and make a day of it on Public Transport so no need to try it anymore.

They were already a sponsor from my recollection of the animated sponsor hoardings last season. It was rumoured before aap3 signed up as title sponsor that an 'asian betting company' had actually offered more money for the contract too... may be wrong there.

The manner of his sacking was one of the most disgraceful things I've known as a fan. Thankfully it seems to have been a beneficial decision. I hope Nigel Adkins thrives in the future though, he deserves to.

How is everyone's training going this year out of interest? Sadly, After a back injury I've had to decide against this year. Just got my 3 mile pace back to 30 minutes this evening, so on the road back at least. Hope the rest of you are having better luck.

The Oxlade-Chamberlain Clause - prudent? or money-grabbing?
Colinjb replied to the saint in winchester's topic in The Saints
Opportunistic, cheeky, needless c**k swinging? I think it was as much about who was the dominant party in the negotiating room then any tangible financial benefit to the club. The transfer of Chamberlain was always going to be a massive one as it would lay the precedent of any further business we do going forward. If we had simply rolled over at that point then I would doubt we would have held onto Luke Shaw. There were complaints that we were difficult to deal with from agents a couple of years ago, that was never a problem, the problem would have been if they had found us too easy to 'do business' with. The marker had been laid down, do not f**k with us.
