  1. Surely this would be a little extreme, even for his tastes!
  2. Come on, you can't just leave it at that.
  3. Throwing this out there as i'm sure someone may have a clue about these things. I've had an idea for a childrens book series (Estimated age range 2-4), i've come up with a kind of 'Idea bible' type summary for it and have drafts of a few stories that could be part of it. How would you pitch these ideas to publishers? Where would you start?
  4. Yes, had a few try it with me by breaking when pulling out onto empty roundabouts. Luckily my reactions/awareness were too good for them. And it's always a particular ethnic group, not casting any further aspertions, it's purely an observation.
  5. 'Appy's one step closer to leaving. Solskjaer has ruled himself out of the Bolton job.
  6. You may laugh But I had terrible problems with feeling ill after eating first thing in the morning (within 1-2 hours of waking up.)
  7. You have to love the Gurkhas. Incidentally, the Gurkha Chef in Winchester.
  8. Well, do you normally have issues with eating breakfast? I am not in the habit of having a large breakfast but have tried to get into the habit of at least having a piece of wholemeal toast and orange juice first thing in the morning. (7-8am ish.) I always have a banana 1-2 hours before running, it really does make a difference to me. Make sure there is something high energy and easy to digest before running, that will carry you through. Over 5k (3ish miles) you should be fine.
  9. That would explain why the jump was a little quicker then expected!!
  10. It's a good point though, how do you steady yourself when there's minimal air to offer resistance? It looked really bad for a bit.
  11. Dangling your legs at 128,100 ft. Nuts. But to see that view......
  12. Please don't go 'splat' Mr Baumgartner.
  13. Was wondering when this was going to happen. Crazy crazy sod.
  14. Well compared to the 1hr 38 minutes 54 seconds I managed for 10 miles this lunchtime that's pretty good. Was delighted that I don't feel too bad after, no blisters to talk about just a tight left calf muscle. Two weeks to go and no beer/crap food until the sunday evening after. I've decided to write off the Spurs game, my friend who is also doing the run is insisting on driving, we have no chance of showering/escaping/getting to St Mary's within two and a bit hours.... but he still wants to try... may insist he drop me off at Southampton Airport Parkway while he dashes there, get public transport home! Apparently the numbers/timing chips have been posted out, this is becoming a little nerve wracking.
  15. Well, in Birmingham you will find that they tick at least one of those boxes....
  16. The worst thing about it was how easy we made it for San Marino. One dimensional attempts to pass through their congested penalty box over, and over, and over again. There was one moment where we had Wellbeck in possession (I think....) who had Rooney and another two players trying to find space in a two meter square area in the penalty box also populated by about five/six San Marino defenders. Had he bothered to drop his shoulder he would have seen two left sided players in acres of space trying to spread the defenders and create space, but no. We played directly into the joint worst side in international football's hands.... time. and. time. and time. again!!!
  17. I did a few days ago..... I think..... Yes I did.
  18. I did a few days ago..... I think.....
  19. Curiously, the opposite of this was mooted by Gary Neville during his analysis of the Arsenal game, his comment was that our shape was fundamentally fine but individual errors were ultimately costing us. The Fulham game seems to bare this out, Hooiveld didn't need to pounce on the ball for their first goal, it was going wide. It also took a deflection to breach us a second time, although the failure to track/cut out the run down the right and then allow Richardson space to shoot in front of the area was questionable. Yoshida looked good in terms of his positioning/mobility at full back but his short/medium range distribution was terrible, against Villa he looked dominant. Even taking out the Arsenal game where he was thrown in at the deep end, He needs to be judged on more then these two games.
  20. It's almost a shame to see the goals fly in now, it'll only serve to help bury what had been a dreadfully unimaginative performance.
  21. Can't help but want the underdogs to do well, even if they are playing against us tonight. Good luck to the Salesman, the Olive Oil company worker, the Student, the Accountant, the Bank Clerk and the Bar Owner against the 11 prima donna's. Forza San Marino.
  22. Quite a surprise really. Apparently a mixture of his desire to return to the south coast and the ambition of Bournemouth attracted him back. What does it say about Burnley though? Certainly an odd one. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19927379
  23. He is comparing a club that this season has lost to Stirling Albion with one that has beaten a former European Champion 4-1. Yes, that ignores a lot of other factors, but still. Perspective and all that.
  24. Yes! What's the shirt's condition like?
  25. They are stripping him of his Tour De France wins, what are the odds that the guys in second, third, fourth place all cheated too in a vain attempt to keep up with him? Where does this end?
