Some Tweets Saying We Have Borrowed Against Future Season Ticket Sales
Colinjb replied to Gemmel's topic in The Saints
As will I..... Well, something to that effect anyway. At least there is generally a questioning of what is happening though. Forums like this tend to be microcosm's of general feeling and mentality. And just like when we were in administration there was concern with mere survival and accepting what needed to be done needed to be done..... up until very recently their very same comparable sample were crying that it was so unfair... On here we question what is going on for the most part and then come to a conclusion, rather then carrying on regardless and only reaping the rewards. -

Time will tell. At least we are astute enough to be concerned rather then dragging our knuckles. -

A little alarmed but as pointed out; the size of the loan is important here. -
In terms of criminal charges, obviously Saville is now being judged by a higher power.... but if anyone would be found complicit what would be their charges? What is the worst that could happen to them?

The very behaviour has me worried. But yes, the sums involved will shed light on how important our performance this season is. -

Common practise does not always equal wise. To me, this indicates that we have gambled on survival. All of a sudden the season has taken a different light. -
I used to be a T-Mobile customer. Now they have merged with Orange they have excellent coverage and service, much better then Vodafone (who I have my work mobile with.) You shouldn't be dissapointed.

Monarchies are better value for money than Republics

Ok, the Queen owns it, what power does she have to claim it and push people out? -
Yes, giving away free tickets to a stadium that is only 70% or so of capacity is 'spending' £30k.

What does it matter? Any state can seize land it requires in a time of emergency. -
Of course not. But labelling someone as a paedophile without explicit evidence is equally ridiculous. The tragedy here is that there will be victims here (the abused/savilles family) either way... and this shall never be proven as he is dead.
-
Yes, a gross assumption. And why these things need to be approached calmly. The amount of 'smoke' here certainly merits investigation though.
-
No, and in cases where false accusations that could further damage lives are made there should be punishment. Did any punishment find it's way to Dave Jone's accuser? But where there are accusations they must be investigated, if there is a risk of any innocent victims being left to suffer it must be removed. No-one should be left to suffer from abuse, they deserve justice. The minority that seek to abuse the system should not be allowed to corrupt it... they should suffer for their crime as well.
-
And like Dave Jones, if they have nothing to hide then the truth will out. But yes it can leave people vulnerable to allegations, lives can be ruined one way or another. If there are allegations though they must be investigated... Which is why the timing of the Saville allegations are suspicious. But my goodness, there is a lot coming out of the woodwork.
-
It is the basis of our justice system. Perfect or not it's what we have, don't get me wrong I do not believe in smoke without fire.... and there is an awful lot of smoke here, but this will only ever be hear'say. So many people would stand to lose so much if the full details are true... they would never admit it all.

Innocent until proven guilty.

First broadcast in May 1999. As I understand it the 'fake' transcript first came to light in 2000.
-
Not what I am saying at all. I am saying that this guy (if the rumours are true...) will have needed to have a vast amount of influence and thrall over a lot of people. It's why the question in itself over the timing is a concern for me. As he is dead there would be less damage done now in coming forward, yet if people let it fly then they would surely not want to be associated. Anyone who could have interfered then but didn't due to fear of damage to employment, reputation, well-being will not come out of this smelling of roses. There would only be one true guilty party, but to sit back and let it happen would also be terrible. So, either there really has been the mother of all cover-ups or this is a really cheap way to get a story.
