  1. I've no idea, I just know how I felt. I had not felt so nervous at a game since the start of the JPT final. It was quite paralysing. Different people react in different ways to situations, I cannot explain why I felt as I did, christ I wanted a win yesterday to avenge the last 7 years of those cheating f**ks lording it over us.
  2. Have to say that I and many people around me wanted a win yesterday so much that the nerves got to us. I am usually one of the loudest people in my part of the family end (yes, that sanctuary for the vocal....) but I could barely raise a cheer I was so tense. Only when the goals were scored or we have some clear chances paried did I respond.... and when it happened it was almost involuntary outbursts of emotion. The celebrations for the second goal showed that the spirit and determination of the fans was there but the occasion and what it meant for our season as a whole served to be self stiffling.
  3. Indeed. Hopefully the post mortem will rveal something about how the individual met their end. Could the fire have been to cover up the body I wonder?
  4. Frankly, this time last year we were 2-0 down at home to the f££king franchise. To be in the top 2 right now is a dream regardless!!
  5. It's all about the gap to third for me.
  6. I believe we will have seen the last of DC now, all the best to him.
  7. Well, surely by flying from the UK, to the, errrrrr, UK, you are still subject to domestic tax legislation.....
  8. I hate agreeing with you, you.... rascal!!!!! Here's to 17th or higher next season.
  9. No way am I turning into a day walker. I'll play it safe and just buy a new one.
  10. And ruthless, don't forget ruthless.
  11. This would require a new washing machine then? ****
  12. OOooooo, this will be fun!
  13. I've noticed recently that my whites (Saints shirts, work shirts and bedding) are starting to get small orange/rust coloured specks on them after being washed. I've no idea what is causing it and how to get them out of the clothes (hotter washes are not viable on the saints shirts....) Any ideas guys?
  14. You don't own them, they own you.
  15. Can't believe no-one hasn't mentioned a Swiss Army Knife/Multi-tool yet!
  16. Based on those pictures, I'ld rather go route one and insert something else to be fair!
  17. I agree, if a parent resorts to hitting a child it's because they themselves have lost self control, not an arguement. They have lost all moral high ground but they are still the figure of authority.
  18. That's not a debate, it's an explaination. Exactly the right thing to do.
  19. Which is why it's important that they (the corrupt sections of society) are punished, made an example of and shown to not prosper/benefit from their actions. Then any sense of 'tarring,' is minimised and where possible, entirely removed.
  20. That elderly person shouldn't be respected. But a minority of behaviour should not be used as jusitification for undermining the whole ideal, otherwise everyone is brought down to the lowest common denominator. You get ars*holes in all walks of life, don't let them drag you down.
  21. I like to call that the 'pass back to Kelvin Davis' reaction.
  22. Oh f**k. League 2 for us next season.
  23. That, right there, is the true definition of cool.
  24. Frankly, the role of any kind of authority figure (teacher, police office etc) has now been undermined by emphasis on rights rather then responsibility and a growing culture of parents seeking to 'look after their own' against anyone who would dare criticise a family member rather then try to instill good behaviour and a sense of right and wrong. I'm sure we've seen the reaction of some parents to an acusation against a naughty child: "I'm sorry to bother you, but your child just threw a stone through my window!" "You WHAT!? How dare you suggest that!? What are you trying to say about my family!? You saying i'm an unfit mother....." Focusing on the deterent for a crime cannot be the be all and end all here, the lack of fundamental respect for rules and guidelines in behaviour in the first place is the key issue. There needs to be a more cohesive front from parents and all other forms of authority towards children so that the boundaries of right/wrong cannot be blurred in the youngster as it grows up.... if a child does wrong it should know that there will be a punishment.
