  1. "Cotterill has done an impressive job at P**tsm**th on a limited budget." Come on then, who's going to tell them. Any volunteers?
  2. That was my thinking. When you are top of the league you are there to be shot at, teams will consider you as something of a scalp.
  3. Nice of them to schedule it during an international break.
  4. Yes. I finished my first season with my Hispania performing at the back of the midfield. After a few races into the second season, i'm relieved that the development work has carried over. Now i'm working towards it being a regular points finisher.
  5. Thanks to our position, every game right now is a cup final. This month can help define how our season goes but that could be said for any month while we are top of the league.
  6. If in doubt.... College Street. After parking dart over the nearby bridge and straight up into the stadium.
  7. Take it as a blessing. New Year's eve is free.
  8. Don't get me wrong, the incentive is there to go up and yes, being a big fish in a small pond will never have the same allure for many but it's all about the relative feeling and atmosphere. Right now everything is overwhelmingly positive, a few home draws against Wigan and Blackburn could soon change that though. Winning a cup every ten years though? Considering the domination of competitions recently by the bigger names (only Leicester, Brum and the Blue Cancer down the road have won anything in the past 17 years outside of the champions league qualifiers) simply getting satisfaction out of mid-table or survival would become the norm again. And frankly, that isn't that satisfying.... the extra exposure we would get at the level and knowledge that Saints are more 'known' should be enough to hopefully compensate.
  9. In the JPT last season, Charlie 'Thorn-in-the-side' Austin got the other two. I had totally forgotten about it until I watched the last year 'goals' DVD a few nights ago.
  10. Not sure about fear of failure or success, but over the last year and a half we have found ourselves in a comfort zone of expecting to win more games then we lose. If we go up to the Premiership that would become a thing of the past. Even a good season would probably at most bring 7th-8th place.... and that's if we REALLY sorted ourselves out at that level. A season like that would also bring just as many loses as wins, for many people would the 'fun' factor be gone? Would the relative 'success' not have the same positive effect as the highs of a promotion season?
  11. Over a day without a response. I'll take the result as read, Richardson just edges it ahead of Rickie.
  12. Yes, he was so offended that he turned down the contract extension we recently offered him. Oh, no wait, it's Corp talking out of his gills again!
  13. I want to be happy for him, but something is stopping me. I can't quite put my finger on it.
  14. Really enjoying the demo. The new layout looks a lot better, fresher. The match engine is a massive improevment... it's the little touches that bring it closer. I echo the feelings on the player ratings but if we stay as we are then the game will eventually reflect it. By nature alone it will be a little behind.
  15. I voted for Frazer Richardson.... who I still keep calling 'Keiron.' Amazing how close it is again, currently a Lambo/'Keiron' tie.
  16. No, another half decent player who incorrectly believed his own hype. Terrible attitude and not as good as he used to be.
  17. Downloading now. It's going quite slowely..... I'm sure i'm not the only one experiencing that.
  18. One that I came across at a meeting this week. My colleague Steve was in Munich enjoying the local 'Brau' with his South African counterpart, he fancied putting some music on the dukebox and said in his broad boer accent; "Here, Schteve. What's the German for 'Bob Marley?'"
  19. And to think that West Ham fans have the audacity to keep refering to themselves as 'The Academy.' Over the last few decades our track record is surely on a par with ANY side in the country, even Manchester United.
  20. He would do a good job.... not that I would care. The club before country argument would become a lot, lot more one sided should that loathesome individual become England manager.
  21. Again, for my match report. If a mod could set the poll itself up I would be grateful. The options for MOTM are: Davis Richardson Fonte Hooiveld Fox De Ridder Chaplow Hammond Cork Schneiderlin Lallana Holmes Guly Lambert Cheers all.
  22. It's all about the opperating system. My other half cannot stand the version of Android running on her HTC Wildfire but absolutely purrs over the ease of use of her iPod Touch 4.
  23. A bit much to compare him to Edison and Einstein but he was certainly a great innovator in his industry. The world could do with more of them right now.
  24. No. It's far too simplistic a notion and ignores the history which, although inconvenient to the ambitions the city may have towards getting top flight football, helps define the identity of the clubs it contains.
  25. Will soon find out, I've re-signed for Hispania for my second season, won't find out until later next week though due to work.
