  1. I believe Puncheon has premiership ability. If he really wants a football career a move to a club there will sort him out. If he just wants the trappings of fame, he will become another 'if only.' I expect to see him washed up within the next 4 years. Attempting to fight his way back up the ladder for Havant and Waterlooville, occasionally showing talent but otherwise looking dissinterested. His bad attitude will be his downfall.
  2. They will kill the Stig character by drive by. Ben Collins remains live and well. I want to see emergency Stig though. He deserved screen time.
  3. IT'S BAAAAAACK And relax. God i've missed spoof motoring journalism.
  4. +1.
  5. I suspect our Nige' had a bit to do with that too, but yes. It's good to see that despite all the media negativity surrounding Nicola that we are being a helpful member of the football community. Who are the Skate's next opponents!?
  6. Given the weather conditions we should definitely do mankinis 'en mass' at the valley.
  7. Word of warning on the 1.9 VW TDi engine. My 3 year old SEAT Toledo had to be taken in today with a blown Turbo Charger. It had covered 83,300 miles. Just one month before replacement and it does that. I would echo the Accord CDTI recommendation above, they are excellent machines.
  8. Was that the one with Cherno Samba? What a striker he became. The best one I remember though was on Championship Manager 4. Serge Makofo from Wimbledon was a god.
  9. This. I wish the great man hadn't been suckered in with that bunch of chancers. It is soiling his own name that he continues his association and defence of them. Let it go Matt, please.....
  10. Why? They may well have applied out of curiosity to see what the terms would be. I doubt all would have been serious but as an information finding exercise it would have been very interesting.
  11. Left winger I believe. His past clubs indicate a bit of a young journeyman. Hopefully just a late bloomer if we are after him.
  12. No snow in Coventry, just hail. It will be 'fun' driving Mrs Colinjb and myself up from Hereford to the work Xmas party in Yorkshire tomorrow afternoon.
  13. I've heard Grubb is good on the floor.
  14. That's better.

    Strikers

He could have been one of our best strikers a few years ago. His injury ravaged frame needs to retire.
  16. Will it f**k up my v11.1 save games?
  17. Nonsense. May all those with an alternate viewpoint die horribly in some way.
  18. Despite the crude way Dune is putting his argument accross, I do agree with the sentiments that the public sector does need to downscale in order to be more sustainable. The private industrial sector I work in has been absolutely decimated over the past four years, I have seen friends and colleagues made redundant while the public sector has essentially been ringfenced. The audacity of some (not all) public sector workers complaining that they have not received a pay rise in these times has made my blood boil. We've had a recession, belts have needed to be tightened. Now it's their turn. I will always feel sympathy for people losing their jobs but given the choice of making the cuts now to aid a sustainable future over proping up something that simply can no longer work..... Take the hit now and build yourself back up.
  19. I saw a spider fall into a deep fat fryer at Southampton Airport. It sizzled well. To feel the need to do anything of that sort intentionally to any living thing indicates something of a warped mind though.
  20. 6 Months!? The same fate as that poor creature would be too lenient for him.
  21. It is a sick, vile act upon a child's pet but there must be more to it then just a random attack on a dog. There must have been some motivation, a revenge attack of some sort? A Staffie called Bronson? Really?
  22. I am saying that the whole system is wrong. The issue is deeper then the fees themselves.
  23. The university system itself is a bad idea at the moment. It needs people who have no real need or justification to take higher education to keep on pilling in... filling them with money and perpetuating the debt problem. There are too many university places currently and too many meaningless courses. Vocational learning has become almost unfashionable and should be the future. The problem is that universities now are not an educational peak, they are a way of life.
  24. Absolutely.
