The moment of truth coming up, just about to announce who's number 2. And it is......... Jo McEldery!!!!!! FANTASTIC My faith in the British public is partially restored.
-
As stated by me previously, I would actually think twice before signing him, his composure was utterly non existant yesterday. Equally though, you cannot argue with the goal scoring stats.
-
Surely this would finally be seen as 'financial irregularities.' A nice convenient excuse for the Premier League to dock points and no longer have this mess as their problem.
-
Yes, using Papa like that was quite inspired, limited Leeds on their dangerous left hand side, they still made chances from there, but Papa made many crucial challenges.
-
Bart's positioning for the goal was poor, dragged far too close to the right hand post, invited Snodgrass to shoot at the top left corner. A great shame. We had two good chances in the game, for them to not show Rickie just scooping past a nearly open goal was very poor.

Based on what I saw today, if he has designs on Premiership football he needs a serious reality check. He would do well to join a club like us or stay at Leeds, clubs with the potential to go places and who mask his weaknesses by placing a good team around him. To quote the steward I was chatting with he needs 5 chances before he even gets close to scoring one, in a higher league he would get found out quite severely.
-
I believe we did, we looked over-run at times through midfield, and that's something i've not been used to this season. And Jesus, I don't think i've ever been so cold in my life then as I was today!

Just back in from the game, nice clear drive back to Cov. That result is absolutely no disgrace, Leeds are by far and away the best team in the league based on what I saw today and we ran them very close. Their defence kept us very honest, Beckford showed an appalling lack of composure in the first half and other then being quick he was not great. Jaidi was good at the back and Snodgrass' goal was just quite cheeky, he had some space, saw Bart off his line a bit and chipped it in. We will only get stronger, i'm not too downhearted, greatly enjoyed the game and the atmosphere, we have the most difficult game we will play this year behind us. Onwards and upwards.

Correct, people who generally feel they are above such menial activites as spectating pro sport gnerally have very little interesting about themselves anyway.
-
Sure we have all seen the adverts. Why have they appeared all of a sudden, yes it is a valuable commodity now (more so then ever...) and they will be buying up and selling onto someone themselves, but who would it be? Is it the governement trying to replenish our reserves? Jewlers trying to buy up on the cheap? I'm curious, anyone have any ideas?
-
Eh? Waigo? (Serie A) Antonio? (The foot of the Championship?)
-
Bugger all snow in Cov, dissapointing really.
-
I love it. Xmas bonus from work and some time off. In terms of all the frills, well it's for kids isn't it, and who would begrudge them some happy material based memories.

I made the bet with my Boss that Saints will make the playoffs. If we do, he owes me a curry, if we don't I owe him a curry.

Delldays, Merrimd, you are obviously at polar opposite opinion here. It's daft to accuse someone of disliking winning, but equally removing the want to compete at as high a level as possible is also daft. We are winning at the moment because we have an ambitious board who want to get to the higher levels, that also attracts the players who want to better themselves and leaves us in a far stronger position. The two are intrinsically linked, why can't we just enjoy as we are without *****ing about it!

On the subject of John Utaka, pretty sure I saw him in the Cart and Horses in King's Worthy on Saturday night. Typical blonde WAG on his arm. What's the matter, don't they have decent pub/restaurants in the Skate catchment area?
-
Extremely fair points, and who is to say this couldn't continue in the leagues above?
-
And are you telling me the likes of Birmingham, Reading, Bolton, Middlesborough and Sunderland have not competed well either in the recent past or right now? Teams like us can get to the Premiership and make an impact, you just have to be well run to do so, at the moment, we are! I am loving it right now, believe me I am, but I still long for the days when we beat the champions at home, thrashed our local rivals to go 4th at Xmas, received masses of respect from people throughout the country and indeed, the world for how we took on the big guns and often kept them honest. If you don't aim high, there is no point in aiming at all.
-
Yeah, it sounds like sour grapes in a way to me. Regardless of how much we are enjoying it at the moment there is no way in hell people would be dissappointed if we did get promotion to the Prem in a few years or so. As fans we want to see our teams compete at as high a level as possible, that's just a fact!

What the hell? Is that just a regular seat?
-
HAHA "Please note; As per ebay rules, this item will be laundered to manufacturer's instructions prior to posting"
-
A great, great shame, I feel for them. Hope they pull through.
-
Excellent, glad he's got a seat. Hopefully he'll be just as wildly fast as he was for Toyota.
-
"Lambert and Beckford would make a good pair......" Errrrr, Nicola...... cheque book? I really hope he means what he said there, if we win on Saturday I will be beyond ecstatic.
-
Thank god the strike failed, having said that I would never risk flying with them again just incase this happens a second time. Unions have their place, but this was just stupid, they tried to be too powerful! You do not get what you want by ruining your customers holiday plans! What you do get is your P45 when the company ceases to exist.
