    Trip suggestions

The times i've had driving out there i've found it to be, erm, random at best. The Maltese seem to enter a roundabout more to force their way through rather then impose any right of way, to prevent crashes it seems to be a matter of 'if you hold the ground, then take it and get out of the way of others!' With driving out there, just 'go with the flow,' obey the road signs but be aware that it is a fair bit more relaxed out there then here. At least they drive on the right side of the road though!
  2. Nothing we didn't already know: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/p/portsmouth/8439545.stm Nice to hear it again though. Interesting that the PFA will be discussing 'stretegy' if the players are not paid tomorrow.
  3. Ask Rupert.
  4. Which originated from the topic of talking about club SIZE. Do keep up my little urchin.
  5. A solid striker at this level.
  6. Haha, Indeed Out of interest, what was so bad in the 1989/90 season that resulted in an average attendance of a massive 5,395?
  7. A friend of mine has just had their employer go pop. She wasn't paid as planned before Xmas and is owed something in the region of 400 quid, where does she stand, what rights does she have (if any)? And no, she doesn't work for the Skates.
  8. So in summary even though you have over the life of both clubs won more trophies you still attract lower crowds in the very competition that you won merely 2 seasons ago then we get against a team competing outside of the Football League. And Stadium capacity is no factor here as due to the nature of the cup we both fell way short. Dread to think how few 'fans' you would have if you hadn't acheived the same in your illustrious past. I do enjoy our chats.
  9. No, But apparently some Skacel guy has.
  10. Considering that F1 cars are hardly the most aerodynamic of devices though it's still a fantastic effort. Open wheel cars will never have the same speed potential as their enclosed wheel cousins.
  11. Indeed, the players should now be paid and all well again in Skateland.
  12. And Iain Dowie's Coventry did the same a year or so ago in the League Cup. They are showing a remarkable tendancy of not bothering with the dross at Old Trafford in the cups.
  13. Leeds where good against us, but not THAT good. They played out of their skins today and fully deserved the win.
  14. Wow, just wow.
  15. That's what they have been doing for the last few months!
  16. Haha. If only Football was that straightforward.
  17. What a wonderful cup tie. Great entertainment.
  18. 5 minutes, somehow. I really want Leeds to win now!
  19. Having just whipped round my local mates to get their opinion on him, they would be sorry to see him go and believe he is at the very least quite decent at Championship level. Would be a great signing.
  20. Leeds deserve to win this game, no question. As such United will now somehow get a late equaliser at least.
  21. Starting to flare up now, tackles becoming late. Corner to Leeds... headed away. I think Leeds are going to win this!
  22. While there are some idiots willing to loan money to them to prop them up in the vain hope of premiership survival though they are not insolvent. As soon as these loanees get wise....
  23. Indeed, we have all the infrastructure required to form the basis for a competitive football club, and nearly went to the wall for the sake of a 4 mill overdraft. And in administration we were minutes away from folding at times. They have nothing but debt, debt that can no longer be removed by player sales alone, and that cannot be leveraged any training ground or stadium as they simply are not owned by the football club. All that is valuable is the league status, a status that will soon be removed as even the Premiership themselves just want the Skates gone. Oh good lord they are f**ked.
  24. Rooney, golden opportunity cleared off the line. Jason Crowe with a goaline clearance. First time Leeds hav been opened up all game. 24 minutes in.
  25. 0-1 Beckford. Leeds are a looking quite good, they have been resilient and Utd look really rattled.
