  1. I'm in the good situation of liking the people I work with, last friday we where up until 2 in the morning draining the Hotel bar, was outstanding. Stay until 10.30 then make your excuses, then you've stayed long enough to appear sociable but have left early enough not to appear too keen.... and you can make last orders at a prefer location.
  2. Believed to be the layout Silverstone wish to run F1 on next year. Same as the new Moto GP track. Shame about losing Bridge, but otherwise looks a good idea, makes the complex a really good focal point.
  3. Ah. Understood. Surely that has to be illegal though?
  4. And if the investors took over the club for £0, but did get 70% or so of the company then they get 70% of whatever is paid for their share? But no, the investors in Saints lost everthing when we went into admin. It makes no sense.
  5. In other words, they couldn't pay.
  6. As Penalty coach. http://www.football365.com/story/0,17033,8652_5757571,00.html His technique of practising Pens was very interesting, as is his admission of being 'tight.'
  7. Generally speaking I would agree with you, but they've been showcasing one of them around work, and it's a rather good vehicle! Reliability would be the only question mark for me, but hey, company car scheme! Also, it is a fact they praised some of Pug's cars in one of the early series. Specifically the 206 Estate.
  8. We are as big/if not bigger a club then the following: Middlesborough Bolton Fulham The Skates Wigan Birmingham Blackburn Reading These are teams that have achieved comfortable mid table finishes and european qualification in recent years. With proper, consistent and professional management we can comfortably be a top ten premiership side. That could be said about a lot of other clubs though. (Nottingham Forest, Newcastle, Sunderland, Leeds etc)
  9. It amazes me that a car show can run out of material when there has been 6 months worth of new cars released since the last series. The road tests don't need to be totally stupid (like with the Twingo, although I do feel it got it's point across quite effectively that it was a sturdy, affordable and entertaining little car) but an ironic review of the new Skoda Superb would be sweet. That they totally overlooked the new Pug 3008 for any kind of attention (positive/negative/whatever) when they had one of them on the show was totally stupid. Why have the damn thing, one of PSA's most important models of recent years on the show if they are not going to pass judgement on it?
  10. Lambert for me, a real leader of the line who has made a massive impact, not just as a goalscorer but also as a forward thinking playmaker, his ability to bring other players into the game is excellent. Lallana is also a sound choice, as would be Jaidi. But for overall effect on us as a team it is Ricky for me.
  11. Not particularly. But as she was a girl in uniform I would.
  12. That's a proper pasting. Just looked like Salita choked! But yeah, that first knockdown, what a hit.
  13. Did the winnings balance the money you paid to watch it?
  14. Much appreciated!!!!
  15. To the people complaining we have only made up 1 point over our deduction when looking at getting to the playoffs. Were we not trailing the play-offs by about 14/13 points at one stage? As such we have made up 5 points since then. It is possible.
  16. Have to dissagree with Carlisle, we looked ok up there but were nowhere near as creative or cutting up front as we where today.
  17. Bart - 6. Did what he needed to do, had a few moments of confusion with his defence but kept Walsall honest. Worried about his ability to command his penalty area effectively but this run in the team can only be good for him. Harding - 7. Nice and solid, defended well and overlapped a few times on the attack to good effect. Murty - 5. Had a pretty poor game, his passing in the first half was awful and had to be covered a few times by Lloyd James. Not his finest hour. Perry - 6. Nothing amazing, seemed ok in the air, had a few problems with Byfield but did fairly well. Jaidi - 6. His usual dominant self in the air, although at a couple of points he had a Darren (50p for a head) Powell type clearances. His lack of pace was made up for by his ability to read the game. An intelligent and effective game. Lallana - 8. His movement and passing caused Walsall problems all afternoon, didn't add to his scoring tally but he was a constant thorn in their side. James - 9. His best game in a Saints shirt, he worked tirelessly and effectively on the right, supplied a sublime pass to set up Connolly for his gaol and should be very proud. He is finally starting to come good. Hammond - 7. Solid, helped dictate play well along with Morgan and fully deserved his goal. Schneiderlin - 8. He was the creative heartbeat today, looked at ease with play and held his own brilliantly against a physical but sometimes crude Walsall midfield and defense. If only he would shoot from distance though. Connolly - 9. A very, very classy performance. His movement and reading of the game gave Walsall nightmares, switched well to wide positions and was an excellent foil for the chances made by the midfield and Ricky's hold up play. Lambert - 6. He is obviously tired, off form and needs a break. He tried to hold up play but was not the confident line leader we have often seen. He took his goal well but was lucky the stumble he suffered before striking it didn't cost him the chance. Subs: Antonio - 8. His pace on the Walsall backline was excellent, he kept working off the ball well too. A real prospect, why Reading are not using him is beyond me. Wotton - n/a. Didn't see enough of him to really say. But as soon as he came on Walsall looked brighter.
  18. James was MOTM for me, outstanding.
  19. Just seen the attendance. 5,681. We sold 3,000 tickets I believe, therefore we outnumbered the home support. Utterly rediculous.
  20. Just back from the game, what a great atmosphere it was in the away end! Really good fun! On the negative side, Murty had a poor game, his passing was extremely erratic and looked almost a little out of his depth. Ricky looked knackered but took his goal extremely well and Lloyd James needs to practice taking people on but otherwise his workrate and skill was outstanding. Our defense looked rather shakey at times, we need a bit of youth and enthusiasm in the centre back position, needs to be a priority for Jan. Positive things now, we utterly utterly ooutclassed one of the leagues in form teams in their own back yard. Our midfield was dominant, we always troubled them when we went forward and totally deserved the 3 points. Could easily have had 4 or 5 goals today. Loved it today, loved it. MOTM, Lloyd James
  21. I would probably take myself less seriously, I was totally deadpan and humourless when younger and it really didn't help anything. I would also play more sport, left it far too late to start playing football. Also I would have asked out a certain girl when I got to 6th form, still kicking myself at that one that got away.
  22. As do I. My Xbox craves it.
  23. Just so long we both believe it to be horses**t mate. It's all good.

No, but that was the reason mine didn't work, yours does sound fishier though.
  25. So you are telling me that these multimillionaire owners got where they are by not being able to synchronise their calendars properly? Regardless of any holiday, it's a truly dreadful and amateurish excuse.
