  1. Nelson or Huffton, NELSON PIQUET JNR or Huffton???
  2. Perhaps, i've already been into Red Bull in a consultive capacity anyhow. It's always been a dream to get into F1, but considering the mortgage I have and stability offered at my current employer I may stick. Was more asking speculatively to be fair. Good shout though with Red Bull, only a little way down the road.
  3. Any room for an engineering graduate who has been working in tribology for the last 10 months?
  4. Most certainly not, I am strong minded enough to make my own decisions. If I have 'radicalised' at all in your perception it is due to the nature of my own character and how disgusted I am with what is happening. Lowe isn't some evil entity, he isn't some malevolent vengeful force, he is simply a bloody fool who is running this football club into the ground with his eccentric ideas and single minded interest in protecting his own investment. He believes (from what I have seen) his history in business qualifies him to run a football club at all levels, and that is f*cking scary, especially as this time around he seems to be taking things even further then before.
  5. Good heavens above yes!
  6. No, when Rupert Lowe returned I gave him a second chance. But the last 5 months have shown he has learned nothing in his two years away. And as for being 'Man' enough to admit I just hate to watch us lose, I went to Cov, watch us got thrashed and was glad to go to a game to see my team, I went to see us v Sheffiled Wednesday last season and managed to make light of it, finding great enjoyment in singing 'Davis for england,' and 'It just like watching Brazil,' when we strung a few passes together, football is not just about winning and losing, I still enjoyed the act of watching Saints. The outcome can be crap but I still love to see my team, the only team I get a true buzz from watching is Saints, but i've had enough of being taken advantage of because of that. If Lowe wishes to treat us as 'customers' rather then fans and supporters, he can have his cake and f*cking well eat it. As for the 'long trip' being a factor. It would be mad to argue otherwise, or use it as evidence for or against my standpoint. We are in a recession right now don't you know it effects us all in our ways and 150 pounds extra per month makes one hell of a difference right now.
  7. No, I want to support a football club, not an eccentric's plaything. Regarding 'tough' times. If you knew me, you would not say that. No battle, no victory, and I am prepared to battle my own needier instincts and avoid funding Lowe's follys until he has gone for good. Living in the midlands thank goodness its easy to get to many away games!
  8. Thanks, I always balls up spelling that.
  9. Now at Plymouth. Sturrock must really rate him.
  10. George Graham?
  11. I used to love the Cheese flavoured Nik Naks. Do they still make them?
  12. Thai Sweet Chilli Walkers Sensations. Love 'em.
  13. 4 and 8. Thankyou
  14. All ifs. I understand the point you are making and if I eat my words one day so be it. As for denying myself supporting a club, I coach an u15 team in Coventry. I have gained far more joy and happiness being involved with that over the last 5 years then I have had with Saints over the same period. I still get my football fix, even if it is elsewhere.
  15. I am inclined to agree, very well put.
  16. Yes I do, I believe I am talking with it right now. It is a shame you had to resort to profanity to try and get your point accross, it really is, but what else should I expect... I understand people have different opinions and perspectives to myself, and indeed, a forum such like this is the place to discuss them. I have had to ask myself many questions on the run up to this decision, the key one was why do I support this club? It used to be fun to go, go and see games with friends. Watch the occasional win, enjoy the atmosphere, and the hope, the hope and genuine belief that we could one day challenge for something. The atmosphere is now all but destroyed, my favourite seat on the northam/kingsland corner is gone, my mates no longer have season tickets feeling what is the point as the ground never sells out any more and i'm fed up driving a return trip of 4 or so hours and almost certainly driving back feeling miserable. I cannot afford to do that every two weeks if I get nothing back. It is the impression I get that the current reigm would prefer us to be like Walsall where a few years ago, barely surviving in the championship and being profitable then be like Coventry, who paid a heavy price for relegation but never lost the sense of perspective that they are a football club first and foremost, a club who tried to keep their better players, a club that always tried to push on, a club that has kept its sense of self respect and dignity.
  17. I shall not return to St Mary's, to the ground and club I love while Lowe is here. Southampton F.C. is no longer a football club, it is the work of an eccentric. A man who values profit over results, who values his own opinion over common sense and his own reputation over fact. I hate saying that, but the club I adore no longer exists. The playing staff has dissappeared, all ambition and hope has gone too, and all pride and love has disappeared. We are nothing now, a bank managers statistic, and rather then having a man willing to fight for us, to aim high, we have a puppet having his strings pulled for him. We lose player after player, and have nothing done. We ARE NOT as badly off as many clubs, yet Lowe lets us rot. heamorraging talent. Losing hope and respectability. When Lowe finally leaves, for good, without any route of return, be it through loss or administration, I will return, witnessing the pheonix rise from the ashes. But until then I cannot bare to watch. I cannot watch something I hold so dear degrade itself further. I am not that sadistic.
  18. With respect, what else do we have? We are no longer a football club, we are a bank's play thing. All with the acceptance of our 'leader' who treats the fanbase as a resource to be tapped rather then the lifeblood of the club. We don't even have the good times to look back on, at least Leeds had europe. European finals and the time they took it to the top 3 (as it was then) What do we have? Broken dreams and squandered opportunity. It has all been downhill for five whole years. And there is only one common denominator. Only one man who has dictated the stranger things we have done. At least Wilde and co ran us as a football club in the traditional sense, rather then an eccentrics plaything. Many clubs are worse off then us, yet here we are paying 24 quid a week to watch a youth team. I AM F*CKING SICK OF IT Rupert can bite my hariy arse. He is getting no more of my money to invest in his folly. I will not return until Southampton FC is a football club once again. As things stand now, we are a joke. I will not let it break my heart any more. I cannot afford to let it break my heart anymore. I shall investigate the non league scene in the midlands and find a club to follow there.
  19. Sacking Sturrock. From then on everything was sh*t. And has been now for 4 f*cking years. What happened to my club. I used to be proud. Now I'm f*cking embarrassed. Lowe had a sniff of the big time and got deluded by it. He believed his word was gospel and got stung for it, now he is back trying it again. His ecentricity is alienating thousands from something they once held dear. I hope that he gets off on that, because no-one else is.
  20. 3............... 2............... 1................. Hoof!!!!!!!!!!
  21. Lol at the Skates who think Spurs are not a bigger club then them. 5 seasons in the premiership and they think they are equal with a club of their history. Laughable.
  22. I watched the score came in today and when I saw Swansea had scored I felt nothing but acceptance. We shouldn't be in the position where we have to pay £24 at a home match in the 5th most watched football league in the world to watch a youth team. I personally feel like I am being treated like a resource with no recompense, like all fans are being treated as such. The club is dying and there are no signs that something is being done to revive things where it matters, on the pitch. The banks may be happier, but I am miserable, miserable that the club I used to love is a joke. Miserable that the club which made me so proud when it reached the cup final 5 years ago is now a glorified feeder club for other teams, teams in our own league, a league below where we had been for 26 years. The result against Swansea is something that means nothing to me, because the whole circumstances the club is now in has left me dissillusioned. I WANT to feel something when a goal is conceeded or scored. I WANT to scream with delight again when we score. I feel inclined to do neither now. This club, which used to give me so much joy now leaves me numb. I look at Leeds fans with envy. At least they have European Semi finals, League Cup wins and 3rd place premiership finishes to keep them warm in the bad times. We only had a false dawn of a cup final. I would far rather we had gone for broke then and paid the price, rather then paying it anyway and having nothing to show for it.
  23. The have Hakinninen on it this season, and they drive Trucks. Can't wait, couldn't care less that it is no longer a serious car show, it is superb entertainment!
  24. Rupert Lowe announced he has decided to abandon his dream of a profitable football club and has sold to someone who wants to run the club in a more conventional manner.
  25. You really need to lighten up. I agree my first post was a little on the direct side , and yes, based on what I have seen so far I do believe we will be relegated, and that we will sell yet more players. And why do I believe Rupes is money focused? Well, due to his entire demeanor and admissions that we need to cut back! - The actions so far taken seem to indicate that he is doing just that and isn't afraid to ruffle feathers to do so. As for fan opinion I wanted it on this specific subject. Not the two thousand vaguely to kinda relevant ones. As for attention seeking, that is something you are doing here by trying to pick a less then friendly arguement with me. Sadly, your lack of payment for full use of the forum deprives you of that, ensuring that conveniently you cannot follow it through. Good day to you sir.
