  2. Thinking of buying a new bike, (selling my 1984 BMW K100, see Buy/Sell) and was wondering if anyone has suggestions/recomendations? I want something smaller/lighter than the old Beemer as I have to get the bike up a narrow alley and around a tight corner to get it into my back garden/shed. Am fed up with having to physically lift the rear end of the 250kg BMW to get it round the tight corner! Ideally looking for something in the 250cc to 500cc range, prefer the naked look, not a racing bike as prefer to ride around sat comfortably rather than leaning forwards all the time. Not bothered about speed, more concerned with comfort. Looking to spend between £3k and £6K, ideally for a brand new bike. Thinking Honda CB500F or perhaps something even smaller. Suggestions anyone?

1984 (B reg) BMW K100 Motorbike for sale (1000cc). 12 months MOT: passed on monday with no advisories! 6 Months Tax Very low mileage for year (63K) Very cheap insurance on classic bike policy, modern-classic looks with fantastic performance (0-60 in sub 4 seconds!) Been in my family for 20 years. Good history file, serviced only a few hundred miles ago. Almost new tyres, stainless steel exhaust. Cosmetically a little scruffy in places, but mechanically rock-solid. £750 ono. Ad due to go live on Autotrader soon, will add link.
  4. Many thanks, couple of great finishes there!
  5. Only a "Scummer" can call another scummer "Scummer". I have no problem describing my as one.
  6. Mine arrived this morning. Starting to get excited now.
  7. I was at that game and remember the goal. Pretty certain it was the very first goal scored in the top flight that season. Best Saints goal for me has to be Le Tissier's last last goal at the dell v Arsenal.
  8. Oh no! We're dead certs for relegation now due to the demoralising effect of this cunning prank, those pesky pescophiles have really got one over on us. I've heard that some mackerel molesting tradesmen pulled the same trick when doing some work on Rupert Lowe's house several years ago, which almost certainly led to our last relegation etc. Although being serious now, god knows what must be buried at Fratton if such things do have an effect!

  10. I met a good number of thick Americans when travelling. The seem to be a very insular nation that appears to know very little about the rest of the world (bar Israel and Iraq). I was once told that this was because no current affairs from other nations ever made it on to their news. One time I was travelling with a friend and we met some American girls, they asked where my friend was from, when he said New Zealand, they commented on how well he spoke English! We met loads of other people from various other nations, but it was only the American's that were that ignorant.
  11. Groundwater quality and subsequent potable water quality is the main part of my job. I would be very concerned indeed if any fracking processes were allowed to be undertaken any where near any aquifer used for potable water supply (because of the danger of irreversable aquifer contamination). That is what happened in America, there was not enough government regulation of the sector. Hopefully here in the UK the Environment Agency will have learned from the mistakes made in America and the process will only be allowed to go ahead in areas where there are no significant aquifers.
  12. Yeah, exactly the same for me. I did think Ibrox and Anfield looked fairly similar though.
  13. Cheers Swanny, will give them a call. Luckily mine does not have that paint job! (Mine's black with lots of chrome, BBS split rims and does not have those nasty US pec bumpers). I would upload a picture if I knew how to.
  14. Done!
  15. I'm thinking of selling my very low mileage 1986 BMW 635csi and want to get it detailed to achieve a decent selling price. The paint work has plenty of swirl marks so needs some correction. Can anyone recommend a decent detailer, particularly one not too far from Chichester? Many thanks in advance!

  17. What's the difference between a Pompey fan and a trampoline? You take your shoes off before jumping on a trampoline.
  18. This...please.
  19. He really does make Shaw look good!
  20. I'm baffled as to why Fox always seems to position himself 15 yards in from the touchline, leaving us so exposed to overlaps. Just compare his positioning to Shaw or Clyne.
  21. Only 3 miles from me so she must be in West Sussex somewhere. Although, she is only three miles away whilst I'm at work too. I think she might be stalking me (from a distance). I'm going to check my car for tracking devices.
  22. This is clearly not true, as they wouldn't be able to pay the fine.
  23. Cheers Saints foreva, nice link.
  24. We have been very poor defensively down the left, plus 4 corners and each one was a terrible delivery. But we are certainly playing further up the pitch and supporting Lambert. Against a weaker side we could be really dangerous in this sort of formation. Always going to be difficult at Old Trafford though.
  25. Many thanks for the "cut and paste" Windsor. That is the best I've read on the subject so far.
