Certainly looking like they’ll rise up the table, what on earth was Selles doing there to lose all his games
-
It was nice to dream briefly. I have found it odd where Still’s coaching staff left and his “experienced” assistant in Trollope , we’ve basically been left with people filling in from u21s , no news on building a team?
-
With the season now as good as over let’s hope Tonda rests some more players to concentrate on the more relevant game away to Doncaster the following week. huge respect to any Saints fans making the long journey up on a Sunday just after Christmas , managed to lose on our last couple of championship visits , expect more of the same 2-1 Boro. Azaz to miss the game with a knock as he won’t fancy it

Our Russ would have loved that, in fact have Tonda and Russ ever been seen together at the same time?
-
It was to soon to jump to conclusions over a 32 year old with no experience
-
Amazes me we still get over 30k last two home games both Cat A prices, I expect them to drop quite a bit in January now
-
My argument at the time with those who said he had to be given the job after 4 wins was would they also call for his head after 4 defeats to be consistent?
-
Spors still lives in Germany doesn’t he , explains that approach
-
Agree, Alfie House made clear on the podcast how hard he’d tried to get an interview during the bad run under Still so made clear it wasn’t for lack of trying, Spors was hiding away scared to talk , time to invite him for an update Alfie

On the face of it he’s had a disaster since he joined us, but will always consider he may be given very specific instructions from above that limit what he’s able to do , we will never know for sure how much are his decisions however : management / coaching staff appointments - 2/10 player recruitment - 3/10, completely unbalanced bloated squad missing key elements required for the championship , I like Fellows and Scienza but they can’t carry us DAMION DOWNS - possibly worst saints player I have seen in 40 years
-
They have learnt absolutely nothing solak still advised by Rasmus management appointments and transfer signings with no long term strategy clueless
-
Missed that, was Kenzie attached to a wheel and spun around?
-
Has he commented on that? Free kick did look perfect for a left footer
-
Yep its bored disappointment , groans rather than boos we’ve won 8 out of 25 championship games, fans worn down by it all watching the same old rubbish tactics
-
The longer SR get to evidence how clueless they are about Association Football the harder it will become to appoint a proper manager, who would want to work for them? remember the laughable quote before little Tonda got the job that the club hadn’t been impressed with other candidates they had spoken to !
-
Talking to those around me the consensus seems to be a shared frustration that overall the quality isn’t great throughout the championship yet somehow we’ve been so poorly managed as a club we’ve managed to set up a team capable of a bottom half position, astonishing really considering the money they had to spend. must struggle to look each other in the eye at board meetings from shame at how bad they are at their jobs , clueless from top down as an organisation

I lost the will to continue arguing with people earlier in the season making this exact point, our team really isn’t that good with glaring weaknesses that other teams can figure out quickly. poor at the back, weak in midfield and so soft up front just get bullied by championship defences, high wage bill though Spors failed to address these in the summer despite having months to prepare, combined with his management appointments it’s clear he has no idea what he’s doing. every single person in a management role at the club must be completely embarrassed at their incompetence
-
I said previously that he reminded me of Selles and more so as time goes by, looks a bit lost out on the touch line looking at his iPad. Time is up for Sports Republic, endless run of appalling decisions , this will be another one. should have just gone for Rohl I think
-
That would be a shock, Birmingham home record is very solid isn't it?
-
Best bet is for Solaks business interests to go bad and need to cash in his assets , not sure how likely that is
-
Going to be an emotional game saying farewell to 2025, a truly record breaking year for our football club , we started the calendar year with a 0-5 defeat at home to Brentford under Ivan the terrible, what would be a fitting result to end the year with?
-
The away regulars I've talked to are all dreading this trip, perfect storm of pathetic early morning sober bus trip at sunrise combined with our pathetic bunch of wasters masquerading as a football team with zero fight in them, the least streetwise football side that has ever existed ripe to be bullied by a physical skate line up made up of league one standard players. If Saints ever read this forum to be clear this would absolutely be the last straw to break Sport Republic's back, no coming back from defeat in this game. They will have seen the pattern at Hull, Blackburn, Millwall, Norwich, Oxford and know exactly what's required to beat us
-
I think they have also lost one of their better defenders to AFCON , Bright Osayi-Samuel
-
I'd add Stuart Armstrong to that list as well, great player for us
-
The players attitudes or ability? Because if the game was played on paper even a bad manager should be able to get more points out of the players we have. I acknowledge as a collective team we do look absolutely shite though, pieces of the puzzle just don't fit
