  1. It's a good point about younger supporters, i was talking to a lad, 27 years old, goes regular home and away now but this will be his first south coast derby, easy to forget for some of us older fans that the youngsters don't know any different
  2. Normally yes, but for this game they've made it complicated, think you need to email the club with details of who you want to transfer them to, either that or just meet your mates at St Mary’s and let them use your phone to scan in through the turnstile https://www.southamptonfc.com/en/news/article/portsmouth-h-ticket-exchange-and-ticket-transfer-update
  3. https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/25443297.portsmouth-hero-chaplin-wants-more-good-times-southampton/?fbclid=IwdGRjcAMnlkZjbGNrAyeVlmV4dG4DYWVtAjExAAEeNZrYA7lHSWVxQTeLZRj1wzfndqtyTgF5ZVaBtuUwpGyoLwnJTusUy-OGaeo_aem_VeI3bmHS316ydIzJy-tPGw This paragraph stood out: "Portsmouth had not been ahead of Saints in the league system for 5,229 days before winning when their rivals were held to a draw last weekend." Blimey.
  4. Do they play him in the same position/ role as we do?
  5. Yes there's plenty of travel available (also very few match tickets sold today, will be a revised lower ticket allocation but still plenty to go round) https://tickets.southamptonfc.com/selection/service?productId=10229036020165 Also there's unofficial travel if it's easier for you https://www.nickssaintsawaytravel.co.uk/#!/liverpool-cup-g
  6. Yes definitely highlights how easy it is to quickly build up away points I think this competition used to split gate receipts 45% each so could be quite a valuable fixture for the club with a 60k crowd combined with being first TV pick on ITV
  7. Caused millions of pounds of improvements?
  8. Have you watched us in the last 12 months?
  9. We really do need to drop this complacent arrogance about how good our squad is until they've started to show it and actually look like a balanced team, having sat through hours of unbelievably shit football in the last 12 months, including this season, it would not surprise me at all if we did not win.
  10. You'd have thought so, but we did take 5500 there midweek two seasons ago in the FA Cup. Another away day for those who say they can never get a ticket.
  11. An upset? It's not a cup tie, we're in the same division and they're above us in the league, to a neutral it would hardly be classed as an upset.
  12. PCFC approach seems to be defend first, grind out points scoring goals from set pieces, their two wins both coming as 1-0 scoreline, well drilled back line. I think they'll approach game against us in the same way regardless of our formation
  13. Massive ticket allocation, will be plenty to go round for anyone who wants to go https://www.southamptonfc.com/en/liverpool-vs-southampton-2526
  14. Asked in a couple of pubs after Stoke game and all saying plan to open early so shouldn't be a problem in town. Not sure on the fanzones
  15. Saints players usually arrive in their cars roughly 3 hours before kick off , perhaps this one will be different and they'll bring them in one group on a coach, will be an early start!
  16. Really hope you are right on that mate, completely understand he needs time and give him some slack.....but please please please smash the Skates
  17. Will JWP be in the away end?
  18. I remember he turned up at England v Macedonia 2002 at St Mary's and a few Saints made sure he lost his bell but in fairness left him alone other than that when he claimed he didn't want any trouble, can't recall if he tried that again at the England v Kosovo game perhaps that was the one he was refused entry for.
  19. https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/25436111.southampton-without-seven-players-international-break/?fbclid=IwdGRjcAMkAdRjbGNrAyQAMGV4dG4DYWVtAjExAAEeUPViE-yplI7oMcEHtuQXrRO_XROAdDh-fP49CtxyIrUVOiHyOfhvXjNTqzc_aem_Jy4ooqn-e_2TWRWTNf4lrg Full list of players away: Gavin Bazunu, Joshua Quarshie, Ryan Manning, Shea Charles, Finn Azaz, Jay Robinson, Damion Downs. Full list of senior players in training: Alex McCarthy, George Long, Mads Roerslev, Elias Jelert, Jack Stephens, Taylor Harwood-Bellis, Nathan Wood, Ronnie Edwards, Flynn Downes, Caspar Jander, Moses Sesay, Kuryu Matsuki, Joe Aribo, Tom Fellows, Sam Edozie, Ryan Fraser, Cameron Archer, Ross Stewart, Adam Armstrong, Leo Scienza.
  20. Good idea i think, against the Skates?
  21. Thanks and agree, it's hell of a journey back from New Zealand. Really good that Still gets two weeks with all the other new signings, plenty of time to integrate them really
  22. Skates have 5 players away on duty, not sure how many would feature anyway https://www.portsmouthfc.co.uk/news/2025/september/02/five-pompey-players-on-international-duty/
  23. Rough guide, but latest odds for winning the Championship, Ipswich still favourites
  24. How many players from last season have they lost? Looks a decent side still. Need that 12-15 point deduction to give us a chance to finish above them
