  1. Wonder if any of the club tickets blocked out will go back on sale if not taken up, worth keeping an eye on that , can't be having wasted empty seats for a game like this
  2. Yep or even more recently Charlton at home, players looked exhausted on Wednesday night.
  3. Spoke to an Oxford fan who 100% reckons that's the tactical blueprint they will follow, they'll let us have the ball, defend for their lives and try to hit us on the break. Players and fans will need to be patient and hope we can take the lead to change the game. Felt like our fans really struggled to get behind the team on Wednesday, need to be up for this, all about grinding out the 3 points any way we can. Oxford's away games vs Coventry and Middlesbrough, both 0-0 last month
  4. Interesting. I did wonder what the terms of the deal were. I watched him a number of times at youth level where he thrived against less physical defenders ,natural finisher who now seems to have adapted to men's football, always had excellent work rate and movement just such bad luck with injuries , really good to see him doing so well now
  5. Apparently about 80 left as of yesterday evening, I'd say you have a chance 👍
  6. Feels like this is a massive opportunity for Saints to get the conditioning team working with the players, recover from recent crazy run of fixtures and prepare for the next ones. Daniel Peretz - Israel - one game scheduled away to Georgia 26 March (with Mccarthy still out injured Tonda will have to make do working with George Long and Jamie Jones) Ryan Manning, Finn Azaz - Republic of Ireland - high pressure games in World Cup play offs, start away to Czech Republic 26th March. If they win it's another play off 31st March. Shea Charles - Northern Ireland - world cup play off away to Italy 26th March , assume they lose that and won't get another. Cam Bragg - expect will be included in Scotland u21 squad, no announcement yet, games scheduled home Czech 27th and away to Portugal 31st March. Josh Quarshie - Germany u21s games 27th and 31st March, think Jander is too old for u21s now so at least he won't be involved. Cyle Larin - in Canada squad for games vs Iceland 28th March and Tunisia 01 April - only player away long haul Not sure if I missed anyone, Jelert not in Denmark squad, Matsuki not in Japan squad. Jay Robinson won't be with England u19s and still out injured. Will keep an eye on England squad announcement this morning, surely Tuchel can't ignore the recent performances of James Bree , get him on the plane
  7. I'm sure he's pleased to be called up as the World Cup approaches, but frustrating for us. Canada v Iceland on Saturday but also Canada v Tunisia early hours of Wednesday morning (our time) in Toronto. He won't be back much before we play Arsenal on the Saturday.
  8. I thought sales would be better considering our form and its actually a Saturday 3pm, we've not had a sell out with ticket exchange open for ages. Still about 1000 available with 850 of those being either side of away fans. Big day out for Oxford, sold out the 3,008 allocation a while ago, they've never played at St Mary's before, fighting for survival, nice away day with a direct train , a mate of mine coming down reckons they've also got a few who have bought in the home end, im sure won't be any bother but let's not give them anything to cheer.
  9. Would be interesting to see who we'll have away, assume Peretz will be off playing for Israel, Manning and Azaz have massive play off games for Republic of Ireland, Bragg perhaps Scotland u21s. Larin with Canada? Jander and Quarshie Germany u21s. Shea Charles with Northern Ireland. Does Matsuki play for Japan? Need as many of them to get a rest as possible
  10. To add to the madness amongst that run we drew with a team in the bottom 3, makes it so hard to predict
  11. He's been absolutely superb last few games and keeps getting better. We're so lucky he's stayed fit with Mccarthy out for a couple of months, last night we had non-league keeper Jamie Jones on the bench ffs
  12. Agreed i was expecting much more from the fans, so flat, players clearly struggled with energy and it felt like the fans did too
  13. Looked exhausted, need some energy drinks before the game on Saturday, get through that and take the two week break. Massive win tonight, defended well , players putting effort in all over the park to grind out the 3 points , league table looking much better.
  14. Its also in school holidays off the back of Easter bank holiday, might make it tricky for some (or perhaps easier taking time off etc)
  15. FAB will just want to give priority to fans on official travel 🚌
  16. There's still plenty of seats on sale in Northam blocks 47/48 👍
  17. An Arsenal fan i know said they lost 400 out of their 1300 at Bournemouth, seems certain club sponsors/ executive box holders etc get to put in for tickets as and when they want them, Saints might be the same
  18. They should really publish how many go to players / staff and also regional supporters clubs Needing 30+ aways , must be a record for a Saints away game. New ground for most of us , can't imagine many went for the league cup game in Sept 1979
  19. Yep and they are away first leg so will have some travelling to do to Lisbon
  20. That's a good shout, and Saints being at home this evening gives fans an opportunity to sort out their Arsenal tickets without having to make a special visit
  21. The sun is shining bright here this morning in Southamptonshire, spring is in the air , the birds are singing and the mighty Saints are at home, must be God's way of telling me to go out early for a few pre match beverages in the sun , surely a home win to put us into a play off place* *reality it will be another WBA style game, 1-1 draw
  22. Norwich must also be thinking if they win tonight they have a real chance of 6th. Derby / Watford- need to keep an eye on those two putting a run together
  23. We'd still be 8 points behind Millwall but anyway getting a bit ahead of ourselves even mentioning them.
