  1. Of course there is, most successful championship teams have a couple of top loans
  2. True. We scored a lot of goals as a team , Che Adams was a good partner for Armstrong, held the ball and made space for him
  3. Agree with you Derry. It is also worth noting that the football God's dictate that a Saints v Stoke league fixture at St Mary's usually finishes as a 0-1 defeat so we must allow for that. Nov 2015 - Saints 0v1 Stoke May 2017 - Saints 0v1 Stoke March 2018 ‐ Saints 0v0 Stoke April 2024 - Saints 0v1 Stoke Just scoring against them would be nice.
  4. I agree, I think we did fairly well completely some sales early enough. Money in for Sulemana, Onuacho and Bednarek all with sizeable wages off the books and Ramsdale loan completed with some money in to cover what we need to pay to Arsenal. Shame Aribo, Edozie deals are dragging, seems like the club are not making any attempt to keep them
  5. Hull City away goes on sale to season ticket holders with no aways at 9.30am this morning, still some available for those who haven't had a chance to get to an away game yet this season
  6. Apparently it's the PRIDE parade and festival in town on Saturday, no doubt several cruise ships in port as well, worth allowing a bit more time if driving in
  7. Still loads left in blocks next to away fans, (Chapel block 20 and Kingsland block 29) , interesting Stoke have taken the smaller allocation of 2400 (which they won't sell out) , 600 less than the full allocation, in theory would be nice if Saints can reopen block 28 for home fans but doubt we'll find out if that's possible if home end isn't sold out anyway. https://www.stokecityfc.com/news/2025/august/13/ticket-information-southampton/
  8. Yes textbook, also been hoping we'll sign their goalkeeper, Johansson very good player, he's bound to have a blinder. Will be an interesting game. We don't tend to do very well at home to Stoke in the league
  9. We are not very good.
  10. Can't complain with a point away at Ipswich so will take that. However neither side were great (expect that was the best time to play them) Overall opinion from start of this season - I think it will be open and fans of other clubs should be excited, "parachute payment" clubs look nothing special. Good chance for a Stoke, Middlesbrough, Coventry etc to stake a claim for promotion
  11. It's quite sad isn't it, how many tickets do we need to sell just to pay his weekly wage? Such a waste of resources Gone from Germany world cup squad to working from home spending his days watching Bargain Hunt
  12. I agree with you, don't rate our forward line and not sure where the goals will come from.
  13. We are , details are confirmed, I actually think Norwich is a good place to visit for couple of days, some great pubs in the city centre not far from the ground, tempted to head up there if I can sort with work https://www.southamptonfc.com/en/norwich-city-vs-southampton
  14. It's very very early but some interesting signs emerging Sheffield United made it three defeats in a week losing 1-0 at Swansea with zero shots on target. Selles already has his work cut out there and I'm sure they'll improve but poor start for a team tipped to be in contention for promotion
  15. Football shirt equivalent of an attention seeking Facebook post desperately looking for likes
  16. Not sure I'd go that far, but bad enough not to get carried away with our win against them
  17. Two defeats in a matter of days as the Fortress, nice to see....but they really should have got at least a point there. Norwich collapsed and Skates had opportunities to score a few times
  18. Nice missed pen by the Skates as well. What's this all about at Fratton today?
  19. Best thing Derby did was getting Eustace in as boss , knows what he's doing
  20. Ha let's not get carried away , Stewart and Downs have hardly set the world alight either. Norwich look like a well organised side
  21. I've heard club frustrated with speed some of the deals are moving at, one of those things, not sure on Aribo but particularly Edozie seems to be changing each day. At least we got the Sulemana and Onuacho business done early and know where we stand with Ramsdale heading to Newcastle so not all bad
  22. I found the sky coverage a bit odd last night, they seemed to delight in the incident and went into full racism in football overdrive. We don't know what was said by one random disabled bloke who as far as any one knows could also have mental problems, it felt like the whole coverage got completely carried away on the subject. Actual game of football was really good, Bournemouth's manager has done a great job, was impressed with them considering players they've lost
  23. Got to be better than their current ground although this one also looks like it's out of town , bit of a life saver for them as arrangement at the Kassam was due to end
  24. I get the impression our recruitment team have got their search engine filter stuck on the German market.
