Football Special

Flynn Downes has been cooking for the team this week

It could be Spors has sensed growing resentment towards him amongst our fanbase due to shite recruitment and another wasted transfer window failing to recruit in key areas so got his agent to leak the story in the hope our fans suddenly think of him positively again and hope he stays

Whether you're a fan of women's football or just enjoy a song a long to Sweet Caroline get yourself down to St Mary's for England v Ghana , international game , should get a decent attendance, reasonably priced , tickets now on sale https://www.southamptonfc.com/en/news/article/lionesses-game-at-st-marys-now-on-general-sale

It baffles me, wish my career was like that !

They won't need them, they have Yan Valery and Joe Lumley

We have to play Blackburn, Preston and QPR before them , a lot could change in that time!

Latest table , not pleasant viewing

He's diagnosed players with PTSD who weren't even in the battle (Premier league) maybe it's contagious

Thanks. I thought I missed something leaving a couple.of mins early

Lumley just made one of the best saves I've ever seen

I think if we fail to beat Sheff Wed at home in a couple of weeks and Lumley gets man of the match for them this place will combust

I didn't hear this last night but did leave before the final whistle, did we sing sacked in the morning?

That Sheffield Wednesday team won at Fratton, I'm not totally convinced we'd beat them at St Mary’s, now that would be the massive boulder that broke the camels back

Looking at recent form and current league table I'd go as far as saying defeat here could be the end for Still. Blackburn will certainly battle and were on the verge of beating Ipswich until late abandonment recently

I read earlier we've won 4 out of last 49 league games , it's been a horrible time to be a Saints fan

Good post, sums up my thoughts entirely.

First time really noticed fans starting to turn on him with boos and singing don't know what you are doing , that seemed mostly around Downs coming on , bit harsh , those boos should be passed on by both Downs and Still to land on Spors desk for signing him in the first place

I don't know if it's his body language, press conferences or what but Still has just never seemed that bothered about being here. He spoke about wanting to move back to UK to be with his Mrs who had a serious illness , not sure working for Saints was his primary motivation

That one made me laugh , also the many arrogant posts about how poor the championship was so even our players would dominated it. Week in week out we're being shown what a well organised group of hard working players can achieve compared to our bunch of jokers. Had an in depth debate on way home last night and conclusion was there probably is little point in sacking Still. Club is such a mess, recruitment is a disaster we spent a fortune and failed to address key areas. No confidence in Spors or any of the key decision makers. Season is a write off.

Just back, been a long day for more disappointment, up for work in a 5 hours , we're getting worse aren't we , absolutely no chance this side gets near promotion

He's been brilliant for them. Must chuckle to himself when he looks at the league table Loan only until Christmas I think

Game tonight away to Aldershot is the National league cup, bit of a waste of time as a competition and not one that Saints seem to be taking seriously having lost two out of two in the group stage so far, could be of interest still for anyone who can't face watching the first team play Bristol City https://www.theshots.co.uk/match-preview-southampton-u21-nl-cup/

Betting odds currently, would say that's about right Bristol City 6/4 SAINTS win 9/5 Draw - 23/10

If the game was a Saturday there would have been thousands coming by train, unfortunately we always seem to play midweek at Bristol city with no trains home nearly all will be coach and car

Brentford looked really good tonight I thought
