  1. I think we'll be alright next season but it'll all depend on who comes down with us. I'd fully expect Ipswich to win the league as I think they'll keep most of that squad together and then its Leicester or Wolves, not sure how either would fair to be honest. Wolves would probably suffer with more departures but would probably spend a fair bit too.
  2. I think he's happy based in the north and a move to Leeds would probably suit him. He might be decent for the Championship, but you would also want someone who is committed to play for the team too.
  3. Kaunas? Enjoyed my visit there.
  4. What's your favourite brand of almond milk?

    Ivan Juric

Agree. Solid player, his career after Saints shows he was PL level.

    Ivan Juric

I'm not against Juric being in charge next season. He spoke recently about having the right player for the right role, sounds simple but it goes back to some of the old school managers bringing in a tall CB to ensure domination in the air. I think if he has the freedom with transfers then we could have a very efficient team next season.
  7. Nah we need that record, at least nobody is going for forget us! I think we might pick up another couple of points but we won't make it to double figures.
  8. Could be. I imagine it could be something such as further clarification on tax etc. In my industry we get the occasional delays on work permits for some very straightforward reasons.
  9. It's very odd - I assume he meets the standard quota of having a job offer and stable finances. I can only assume there has been some errors on the paperwork, or they've missed any of the deadlines.
  10. Football insider are stating that quoting a home office source. Interesting what the club does now, whether they go down the appeal route or revert back to previous candidates.
  11. Could be the reason why Cornet has gone to Genoa, done us a solid to free up a loan slot.
  12. I still firmly believe Wilcox was destined for United, but used Saints as a middle stop so he didn’t go from one part of the city to the other. I don’t think it’s SR, but the recruitment around football data/scouting is pretty ruthless and fast moving. If you do a decent job, then one of the bigger clubs will be making moves quickly.
  13. Pretty sure he was at QPR for a bit? He's a bit meh, but has European experience at Fener.
  14. He's been heavily linked with West Ham.
  15. You could. What's annoying is rugby managed to see this and forced Exeter Chiefs to sell off privately rather than to themselves, and yet the Premier League seem perfectly happy to let this kind of thing go on.
  16. Not sure what Leicester did a few years back was even a loophole, it was just shear incompetence from the football authorities that they couldn't see a club doing what they did. Extending the accounting period something so simple and perfectly legal, yet no one saw that one coming from inside the Premier League.
  17. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cx2y7l0dk02o This is the first season which requires all the naughty clubs (rumored to be 17 or 18 of the PL) to submit 23/24 accounts by the end of December. Surprisingly Leicester managed to escape any charges, but it was believed they may have done a 'Chelsea' and managed to sell something internally to get themselves out of dodge. Chelsea managed to stay away from any punishment by selling the women's team...to themselves, and the two hotels next to Stamford Bridge to a sister company.
  18. The modern football deal! I expect there might be a few other add on's, few extra euros if he makes 10 first team appearances etc.
  19. On a serious note, you can kind of get an idea on the template design based off the latest Puma international kits. So judging by the new Portuguese one it'll be a round neck with some sort of embossed motif.
  20. Really? Because he managed 45 minutes for the U21's a few days ago...
  21. Agree. Certainly has improved since he's been here so if anything it might be a loan. After which we can see another amusing Burnley #freetella style campaign.
  22. Cup game or not, I don't think Edwards is really ready for top flight football at the moment. As you've said, a decent second half of the season with QPR will do him the world of good (as with Charles too). I might have to go back on my words here a little about Woods, maybe it's more along the lines he's surprised me a fair bit as the feedback from Swansea fans wasn't exactly positive when it came to his all round game. He is another player who is still young and I think if he can improve on some of his play then he'll be a really good asset for us. I can't see him even playing in that Forest game, he might get a run out against Swansea at the weekend but I think he'll be off soon enough and I don't blame him. Hopefully Bednarek takes the advice coming out of the Polish press and decides to move to France or Italy.
  23. Edwards stated he wanted to play so heading out on loan makes sense. I think Wood has been one of the better players the last few months, certainly he'll be a solid option next year. I think ABK is still trying to push a transfer away from the club, despite Juric bringing him back into the 1st fold he'll be gone by the end of the window.
  24. I'm pretty sure the club had an image of Baz in his training kit recently? Suggesting he's at least working on his fitness. Lumley is out of contract in the summer? McCarthy is just going through the motions at the club. To be honest, I'm never glass half empty but I get the feeling we're going to drop like a stone next season in the Championship. I think the amount of players leaving especially in key departments I just can't see us replacing in time.
  25. I saw an article in the summer which i will try and find, but there was an argument on whether improvements to the ground to comply with the Premier League standards should be included or not (Everton managed to dodge a charge regarding payments to the new stadium development), but SwissRamble notes they lost the most in league one during 22/23 (Derby included £20m of purchased goodwill which technically put them at the top of the pile) and last year saw more losses which were reasonably hefty.
