  1. Nailed it, but it's been going on for years and even we've been guilty of it. If a club promises to pay off the parent's mortgage and some, certainly they are going to push for the lad to end up in West London rather than the south coast..
  2. Back to Scotland I assume. He’ll be able to carve out a few more seasons in the top flight there.
  3. Wright had a solid year with Stanley and one could argue he could make the step up. I'd say Moody needs a season or two out on loan to be suitably assessed.
  4. For me it sounds like something has been agreed in the background for Ramsdale already, probably announced a day or two after the window opens. Long makes sense, has experience at this level and it happy to serve as a back up. The question for me is whether Moody gets promoted into the ranks or heads out on loan.
  5. They should, but if you look at Leeds when they first dropped down. Every club is going to want to do a number on them, and a half empty London Stadium isn't going to help...
  6. Welcome back. Getting the banners out readying for the announcement of Martin?
  7. The 'Boro Gazette have, with the usual 'unbelievable' next to it. Then again, aren't they sponsored by Unibet? I thought Middlesbrough were whiter than white, surely the noble gods on Teesside would of taken into account the various fines and charges that company have had over the years...
  8. Time to quote a bit of Rick & Morty - "Your boos mean nothing, I've seen what makes you cheer!" They are a fan base that seem to relish in 'winning' off the pitch in the court rooms than on it, celebrating that they almost put Derby into liquidation with the ill timed compensation claim . They don't mind the constant failure of poor managerial appointments because Gibbo is the cult master who can string the morons along. What will be the excuses next season when they fail to gain promotion? No doubt it'll be someone else's fault.
  9. Because they know full well they got away with one....that Ipswich postponement was incredibly suspect given half the team were injured.
  10. Saintsweb drawing up the hit list…
  11. He was gash in his loan spell at Ipswich though, but then that could be down to the system he had to play in.
  12. Seems to have injured his shoulder a few times though.... reckon he'll have another year at Wednesday to see whether he can stay fit.
  13. Got to deploy the Gazza tactic, take two bags 'once they find the first one they'll think its over..'
  14. It's not necessarily the lack of guilt or remorse but the level of evidence (or rather the validity) the EFL had especially as its deemed none of it was written. Oral evidence can be open to misunderstanding, or it's consistency can be questioned, which I'd hope the club are looking at right now. It just shows are quickly the EFL rushed it all through to save the Playoff final, in turn they may have left the door open for us to pick holes at what they brought to the table.
  15. Very interesting - bombshell statement here. As the losing party, Southampton are entitled to know precisely what was the evidence that led to these damning findings. Yet the section on evidence says merely that the EFL relied on evidence from four witnesses, one of whom gave oral evidence, while Southampton relied on evidence from “several witnesses”, four of whom gave oral evidence. There is no mention of the written evidence, which must have been copious, and there is no attempt to explain how that evidence led to the findings mentioned above. On reading the judgment, Southampton could not know what evidence provided the proof for these findings. It could have a guess, but it is entitled to know, especially when so much was at stake, precisely what oral and written evidence was relied on to reach these conclusions.
  16. It's been a bit of a PR nightmare from the club, but let's hope lessons are learnt.... * Use a proper PR company * Use proper lawyers from the start * Give a new manager a proper induction as to the laws of the English game..
  17. They’ve lost 80 odd million over the last 5/6 years, but I think they ‘only’ lost 13 million last season which compared to most championship clubs. Isn’t bad at all..
  18. Bristol does have a golf club next door….but it also separated well and the nearest point to the pitches is the driving range, and Norwich, unless he’s standing on the edge of the bypass you can’t see or get in. Personally I think the level of spying is being over reported. Most training grounds particularly at this level are secure.
  19. Not as many as people think. Portsmouth, Millwall and Hull are the ones I can think of. You can get a partial view of Wrexham from the hillside behind, but you’ll be certain testing the levels of performance on an iPhone for that one…
  20. So the Hull team bus has been smashed on its way to the hotel. Of course, according to Karen FC it’s Southampton fans on some sort of conspiracy to get them fined. Are this lot okay? Absolute creatures.
  21. To be fair they are still plastering shit all over the Wolves pages and local rag about Edwards. Strange lot.
  22. I managed to put my plans in the smoke back just in case. I actually want the Karen’s to go up, finally they’ll have to give up the seat at the EFL top table, plus Gibson won’t be moaning about parachute payments anymore.
  23. Like any workplace they'll need to make sure they've got everything in order before removing him. I'm almost certain we'll see a public announcement he's gone around 1100hrs today..
  24. Maybe. But I think it’s been pretty much proven to get a decent view of the 1st team pitch he’d have to be in the woods opposite, outside of the golf club and training complex. Maybe that’s why the soldier memes were on the clubs WhatsApp!
  25. Also why he was watching the top pitches. That’s normally where Middlesbrough warm up before moving further on down to the 1st team training pitch for the detailed stuff.
