  1. I think it's more to do with Cooper and where he wants to be, currently he's got a job with the FA and he's probably quite happy with that compared to the cut throat world of club management.
  2. That place sends shivers down my spine. Odd for it to charge a fortune for beer..
  3. I believe so. He took a lot of pride in fundraising for the local church and often organized curry nights to raise funds. I think his daughter played football for our ladies team? So at least the family wasn't fully blue! (and he lived in a SO postcode..)
  4. Ended up playing against him when he was at VT. I used to live dangerously close to Linvoy Primus, and to be honest was a pretty nice bloke too.
  5. Probably - he was manager from 2005-2010.
  6. Kelvin Davis, Dan Harding and Danny Butterfield at Centreparcs, Longleat.
  7. Tub girl.... 🤢 Still can't escape that image.
  8. Some early data shows it almost ran out of runway on take off too...
  9. 787 Dreamliner - Probably one of the 'safest' aircraft out there. Certainly from the footage it looks a strange one..
  10. Remember being in Colorado some years ago during the Autumn, it reached nearly 30 degrees during the day but dropped to -2 at night. Never experienced anything like that anywhere else in the world.
  11. He's a complete weapon. I'd be very worried if he started sniffing around the club..
  12. Telling ya, that Volvo V90 Cross Country.....tows beautifully. 😁
  13. I'm still doubtful that Leicester will get the points, they need the EFL to take on the case brought forward by the Premier League and I haven't read anywhere that suggests they have? It has been suggested they could get between 12-17 points if the EFL does act, which is massive and with a manager only being confirmed after the 1st July. I'd put them in midtable. Dark horse could be Preston, they've been quietly going about signing some half decent players..
  14. To be fair if you ask ChatGPT to predict the table it comes up with similar. Can't see Wrexham finishing in the top 6 if I'm honest and would swap them with Birmingham.
  15. Also Ipswich fans are quite vocal about Godfrey being the worst player ever to feature for them, and considering the dross they've had over the years that's some achievement!
  16. I'm pretty sure it was noted that all first team players had a relegation clause and have done ever since the promotion back in 2012? Only pure clusterfucks like Leicester would decide to exclude them...
  17. Jesus, that was just horrific..
  18. A vehicle shouldn't need to be a status symbol though? The richest individual I know (Times rich list wealthy) drives around in a 2004 Subaru Outback, he does not give a shit about what people think of it. He drives that thing into London, to meetings, the golf club, the lot. (He does however have a rather lovely car collection stored away....)
  19. The XC90 is beautiful, but I still think the V90 XC has the edge as an all rounder. Land Cruisers are great though, our Amazon lasted 20 years and never put a foot wrong. We sold it on to another farm who still use it today.
  20. I've got a 2014 Ranger and currently I'm wondering how to make it go away conveniently for an insurance payout. Quite possibly the worst pick up I've ever owned..
  21. I work within agriculture and I've used loads of different vehicles in the past, some great, some not so much. My personal recommendation if you want the right mix would be a Land Cruiser, I have a 2021 model here and it's brilliant with plenty of ground clearance and a solid drivetrain. You can pick up 2016 models in and around the budget mentioned. Special mention also goes to the Jimny, I have a commercial here and it's excellent on the farm although a bit so/so on the 'normal' roads. Both the Volvo V90 cross country and the Subaru forester are decent too, one of the lads is running a 6 year old v90 XC and the Volvo four wheel drive system is very good and my god it can tow well too. Really depends on what you want at the end of the day, a Disco is always capable but has a challenging reliability record as you've mentioned and I wouldn't fancy pissing about with a Cayenne. For a big diesel engine I'd be looking at the older Touareg's with the V10 TDI.
  22. Lumley is out of contract, so Baz and Macca as our only first team GK's..
  23. Hammill was a loan signing, at the time I thought he looked pretty good. Totally forgot we had Euell, he stuck around for a few years too...at least Safri went at the end of the season.
  24. Would give me horrible 22/23 vibes...
  25. I think he tried for a couple of years after retiring. I've worked with a number of ex sportsmen/women over the years, but Sean is by far one of the nicest, genuine individuals I've had the pleasure of working with. I do get the odd snippet of insider information, so I'll be on to him next week to see if there is anything on the horizon..
