Skacel MKII. Has Romeu signed yet?
 -
It's interesting who's stayed. Trollope and Lallana, I'm not sure whether that's because the club needed some experience still. Carl Martin leaving is a big surprise though, he's been at the club a long time...

Personally I can't see Rogers even entertaining a gig at a championship club, I think we're way below him and I think he'll be eyeing up a top flight job. Gerrard, I think would be the name that could potentially put certain ego's in their place but I think it's been mentioned here before his current tax status is a little iffy after Saudi. I think it'll be Carrick, maybe a shorter deal with performance based extension.

He's very happy in the west country acting as an advisor to Torquay.
 -
This. Although there was a subtle hint that Aribo has to decide whether he wants to be involved, we suggests he's one of the sulking few at the club..

Won 5, drew 2 and lost 6. I'm more impressed he had a 50% win rate at Swindon whilst managing over 50 games.

I'd imagine so. From the outside looking in it feels like a divided dressing room at the moment and I think Still is at a loss in terms of how to control it. Maybe binning some off to the U23's would be an option, but I suppose those certain individuals also have a bit of sway over the rest of the squad. Thus backing up the rumours of players not really giving a toss about the results, probably because mates aren't involved in the starting XI or squad.
 -
Likewise. Although had we trimmed the squad down like he wanted, then I don't think we would be in the same position.

There isn't a huge amount of talent out there available at the moment, but my main concern would be a new manager who tries to implement a totally new playing style. I remember some comments from players regarding last year and also the 22/23 season where there was so much chop and change it caused bigger problems with continuity. Still is and will be a good manager, but he arrived at the wrong time and thus this is the position we're in. I can't see anyone else coming in and really changing it, especially if the rumours of certain players stinking the place out is true.

0-2 Preston and the whole place implodes.
 -
We've all been in work places where the atmosphere has been awful thanks to a few. Doesn't take a lot for the place to feel like a morgue and that to take a toll on individual performances.

Watched them against Exeter last week - one shot on target and they were absolutely terrible.
 -
Wednesday never had the PL infrastructure though, the stadium has been left to rot for years and the training ground is that of a lower league one club. They was never any investment behind the scenes.
 -
Hearing is due to start in the 'coming weeks' but they've noted that we won't see any points before the end of the year..

Everton pulled out of signing him earlier in the summer due to his injury record. I wonder if there is something there...

Poor coaching or players not up to scratch ?
leesaint88 replied to Andrew Watson's topic in The Saints
Personally, I think the fact that Still couldn't bring his coaching team from France is part of the problem. He's at a new club, which has a lot of new players along with a new coaching set up he has to learn to trust. -
Seems like it. There is also an outside chance they could get hit twice too..
 -
Bookies still backing Ipswich too? They were really crap again midweek..
 -
Charlie Austin too, he was on a podcast a few weeks back saying he was a bit of a bellend...

Historic Saints team based on terrace chants

Ostlund. Still the only player I've witnessed in a saints shirt celebrate fouling someone. -
Like the Eerste Divisie in Holland, pretty sure most teams have a chance at promotion come the end of the season..
 -

Who doesnt mind not getting promotion this season?
leesaint88 replied to OldNick's topic in The Saints
Personally I couldn't give a toss if we go up or not. Whilst it would mean the squad being stripped even more next season, at least it might bring some atmosphere back with people who genuinely want to be there. -
Very much so. Could certainly change things...

Was at the Swindon game and still maintain it was the worst performance I've ever seen from a Saints team. It'll click, but I think he needs to be settled with the back three/four and also get lucky with one of Archer/Armstrong/Downs/Stewart finding form.

The Eastleigh player was out cold and appeared to have a seizure at one point. Couldn't get it going again after that, wasn't long left on the clock either..
