You can’t fault Jack Stephens love for the club, nothing wrong with that, the problem is the ability to step up as a leader. He is too easily riled up and prone to errors. He can’t pin that on his former managers. Club captain, fine. But being on the pitch, no.

Yay. Underwhelming signing - but only because I haven’t seen him play, never heard of him, and he’s twelve years old with no top level experience. Screams of a signing to get you out the Championship.

Never heard of him. An untried youngster with one senior season of football doesn’t scream “pushing for the Premier League at all costs”. 😅 Happy to be proved wrong.

I genuinely don’t know anyone that has watched the Club World Cup. Even some of my die hard football friends that live and breathe it couldn’t care less. 😂

We need Championship proven players at a minimum. If we’re pinning our promotion hopes on this Downs guy then that’s pretty underwhelming for a club that should be flexing same muscle. As a squad player fine, but go for someone ambitious like Evan Ferguson who is on the fringes in the Premier League. You know full well if it was someone like Leeds they’d be going after fringe Premier League players at a minimum, going after the obvious. We need to have the attitude of we’re the best in the division and we’re going after the title.

Took get the money we’ve got for Sulemana and Onuachu after their beyond disastrous spells for the club is excellent. Yes it’s a loss on what we paid, but I think everyone else was half expecting us to get a fiver, max. I do hope we start buying some established players with a bit of muscle and fight.

Tony Pulis never stopped raving about him. Talks about how he could fly abroad against club orders, come back, be benched as punishment, subbed on and score a hat trick. 😂

Just in time for pre season

Bye Paul. You were overrated, over priced and underwhelming from day one. I would’ve taken a fiver for him. You’d hope that Spora has spent long enough at the club to know that 75% of them aren’t good enough, therefore we need a turnover of players. It would also be nice to see us go for players that are already established rather than untried teenagers.

If Downs is the striker we’ve been linked with then that is seriously underwhelming. He strikers me as Sekou Mara MKII, lots of pressure to put on a kid to get you back to the Premier League.
