I’m loosely in agreement. If you watch football regularly you can work out patterns of play, players that look lively etc. It isn’t difficult. The problem is nowadays clubs base everything on stats and analysis, for example you could monitor a player and he could have a list of the best attributes going but that only lasts as long as the player can be arsed and is motivated. Look at Dele Alli and Saido Berahino as examples, the latter I remember saying to mates when he was 17, linked with Spurs and went on strike “he’ll be an EFL player in a few years”. The problem is where it’s all based around stats now and computers and that stuff, it’s not any more reliable than good old fashioned scouting of watching a game. I’ve probably explained the above terribly but Sport Republic are an example of stats and analysis not working.

This entirely 🤣

Still waiting… It seems MLG hasn’t replied to a few who have asked this or similar. 🤣 Feels more like a club plant every day. 😂

Since the first game of the season. I think it’s quite good. I read initially though they were only going to do it on certain game weeks this season as a trial. I’d say it’s pretty good

Newcastle are the worst for dishing out those tackles but can’t hack it when it’s rightly against their players
-
Just the normal aggression from those Geordies. Might be something to do with Isak wanting to leave Newcastle to go to a better club (Liverpool) too.

Name three? And three that we’ve benefitted from so far?

Ramsdale a bench warmer

Bazunu is fine for this league. Not great by any means, but fine, and I’m certainly more comfortable with him in goal than McCarthy. If he has got a good ten outfield players in front of him I’m not concerned, but some on here like making a mountain out of a molehill.

£40M for a teenager is excellent. Bags of potential, but still enough time in his career to screw it up like many other young English talents. He WANTED to leave. Therefore we’re better off without him. I hope he doesn’t get homesick. 😂

They have a week to make something amazing happen - I don’t see it 🤣

I think the most frustrating thing is we can all say how simple it can be. Target and buy players that have played at the required level or are on the fringes already at a higher level. Don’t target unknowns or youth players and expect them to work. They have to really pull something out the bag over the next seven days and I honestly don’t see it.

Heard from a mate Dibling medical is done, could be announced later tonight.
-
Based on the Norwich replies on Southampton’s tweet announcing him, fans appear to be glad he’s off the wage bill
-
You would think that if Aribo and Edozie are being left out of the squads they’re “close” to going. “You’d think” 🙄
-
JJM wanted something like £10K a week from what I heard as a 16 year old and the club rightly laughed him off. Another one that was poorly advised, but again he probably is more than comfortable on Chelsea salaries.
-
Has anyone ever had a Google on how Jimmy-Jay Morgan and Kamari Doyle are doing? Or Alexander Jankewitz? Weren’t a couple of those in the same age group as Tyler Dibling and Jay Robinson?
-
£40M for a player with two goals and doesn’t want to be here? Take it and run. Good deal. He could turn into another overrated English player very quickly. But he could also do well.
-
Let’s have it right, Carlos Alcaraz was ok, he was a diamond in a turd during what was a very poor year. He was not “perfect” by any means. People hype him up the same as Armando Broja 🙄
-
We’ve enquired for Rak-Sakyi, but we aren’t the only ones. He wasn’t in the Palace squad today.
-
The club could’ve been proactive in targeting players early. Looking at players going out of contract etc. But nope we’re probably haggling over an extra million or two just to get the deal over the line
-
Brave comeback. Bet he’s full of pride and gratitude after that performance
-
Our squad is worse going into this Championship season than two years ago

I stopped reading after Alan Nixon, he’s as reliable as Alex Crooks.
