That is horrific news, he was a star. Condolences to his family.
-
Hopefully he’ll get a run out for the Eastleigh game. Maybe at 80 minutes when we’re 6-0 up? 😁
-
Thanks Eni Aluko

Cheers Juric. That's everyone from that disastrous January 2023 window gone now. (Well, except Bree, but he was relatively cheap.)

Fair enough, £7 million is a lot less than it used to be. Hopeful that Downs can start well then, Bundesliga 2 is a good league to be blooded in. Also hopeful that BBD can be shipped out. Archer, don’t mind giving him a crack this season, I think he will get a decent return.
-
The last few years have been fraught with forward deals especially falling through at the end of the window. He may not be the 15 goals per season in the Championship striker a lot of us were hoping for, but yep, credit for getting it done as soon as possible.
-
That's a considerable amount of money at this level. Let's hope he kicks on relatively quickly.

Wonder if Ramsdale would be more likely to stay if his mate was here? (Conpletely delusional)
-
Am I correct in saying that players will be able to walk away from the club now? Combined with their transfer embargo, dire times lie ahead for them.

Saints app has just sent me a notification. I open it and a video of a magic 8 ball shaking plays. At the end it says “No Doubt About It” with a date of 3/7. So we’re signing Errol Brown’s ghost on Thursday?
-
He didn’t impress me in the PL last season. Would take £25m to make some money back on him. I reckon we could get closer to 30 though. In general, our defense is pretty large, and at this point, I would rather strengthen it if we were to get promoted first time of asking

Iaonnidis is too expensive for a Championship club
-
The Alvin and the Chipmunks backing track really compliments his performances
-
Suppose he’ll be playing for the U21s then? For his sake, hope he has a growth spurt due
-
After two and a half years playing for us you have to start looking at how he has performed rather than how he could perform. I think selling Sulemana for that price is a good move. If he comes good for Atalanta and tears it up in Serie A, good for him - just as well he won't be in the same league as us.
-
Love MLT strolling in at the end. Like he has a spare key cut.
-
I see Wrexham have already got a front page article on BBC Sport about their opening match against us. Going to be hearing a lot about them this season.
-
Break Colby Bishop's legs in September and we can probably send them down.
-
I personally feel that a clear out is more likely to happen organically next summer with McCarthy, Stephens, Smallbone, Aribo, Stewart, Bree, Taylor, Fraser, Onuachu and Bella-Kotchap out of contract. Some could still go this year of course, but the value of most of those will be low, and so a lot of mediocrity will naturally come off the books. If we get promoted this season, we are in a good position to build a competitive team.

Spud Bros, a Lancashire firm selling jacket potatoes, are Preston’s front of shirt sponsor this season. I just think it’s neat when local business partners with local clubs, much like P&O’s link to Southampton and their position as our front of shirt sponsor.
-
He did not want a new contract.

Expect joys such as - Middlesbrough away 8pm kickoff on a wednesday - Wrexham away 12pm kickoff on saturday (moved by Sky) - Millwall away 8pm kickoff on a friday night with a bank holiday on the monday

Good player, surprised he ended up staying after 2022/23 to be honest. Likely more a victim of his environment though, England isn't exactly short of full-backs. Anyway, all the best to him and hope he lands a decent move.

Reading Brentford's forum it is funny how completely opposite Ankersen is perceived compared to here. They affectionately refer to him as 'Ras', for us his name is more akin to some kind of slur.
-
Not sure if they were prepared for Frank to leave. To be frank (lol), it would be great to see them go down. For the health of the league if anything.
