  1. I gather from post #3, that post #1 assumes we all go on a west ham forum (also linked on post #3). Based on post #1 I can't be bother to even look at the link on post #3 to make any more sense of it than that. Hope that makes things a little clearer for you
  2. Just seen on facebook that I girl from my year at school has become a gran FFS. She was a dirty teen & clearly her daughter was as well.
  3. Jeez what rubbish, I could quote absolutely loads of people on here saying that your current position has been achieved on merit. I for one would openly state that you totally deserve your recent achievements, well done to all involved.
  4. Do you really think the poor people of pompey can afford to be throwing away pound coins!
  5. 3 points & several goals for us on 7th & I will be happy.
  6. My mate got through on that number as well, we've also got tickets in block 1 :smug:
  7. I've just been cut off of that as well after 10 minutes
  8. No one likes a show-off
  9. How can they with such concerns about the team sheet!
  10. I really don't want us relying on those fish fiddlers doing us any favors.
  11. A few reasons: I don’t like the way when you copy a CD, itunes converts the files to a low bitrate compromising some of the quality. Currently I’m copying my CD’s as flac files via winamp, which retains the CD quality (it does take up a lot more file space but that’s fine with me), but as iTunes doesn’t recognise flac I then have to convert those files to Apple Lossless format (which is their own version of flac) before I can get them into iTunes. Winamp would mean flac files could just stay in winamp. I’m also having some problems with itunes where it’s doing a lot of stuff in the background & I don’t really know what! I just notice my pc slowing down a bit & when I look to see what’s going on via task manager, itunes is busy doing something. Itunes keeps telling me there’s a new version, but when I try & update it errors. I’ve already removed it & reinstalled & not been able to solve the problem. I also keep getting error messages pop up saying itunes can’t complete my request (I have no idea what request it’s updating but not completing?) Also, when you install itunes & agree to the terms & conditions which most of us don’t read, you agree to allow Apple to collect & use data from your computer. They say they’ll preserve your anonymity & ultimately I don’t have anything highly sensitive on my computer, however it just bugs me a bit when I hear my computer doing stuff & I know its apple building up more data. For my job I do a bit of work in the social media space & on the one hand its fascinating what sort of info is being collected on us all now & what can be done with it, but on the other hand it’s a bit intrusive in my opinion, & when it slows down my computer performance which hampers the speed I can look at ladyboys & granny porn then I’m not so happy with that!
  12. 1 point, done. Sha lala la la la la.............
  13. No I'm Sparticus
  14. I’ve been thinking of moving my media off of itunes for a while now & deleting it, will probably move to winamp. Before I do, are there any obvious bits of functionality I will lose out on? I don’t need to do anything fancy, all I want my media player to do manage my music and allow me to move it on & off of my ipods & iphones which I know winamp CAN do. I also understand I would be able to move photos from my iphones on to my computer without itunes so that’s not a problem. Currently my iphone contacts are linked with outlook via itunes, so this is something I’ll need to look into & see if winamp does. Anything obvious I’ve missed? I guess I won’t be able to manage apps with winamps so there would be no iphone back up if mine were to be lost/damaged. Ah also iphone updates, I wouldn’t get them would I. Nuts, now I’m starting to think of some problems.
  15. Maybe the AFCPortsmuff forum will be a bit more forgiving once that's set up
  16.
  17. Assume they are less likely to view or wish to contribute to a thread about mid life Crisis's's's's
  18. Interesting thread this for me, I was going to start a similar thread a week or so ago, but with a slightly different angle, as I was going to ask about stuff that you miss in your life (that you did when you were younger) as you get older. I hadn’t really thought of it as a ‘midlife crisis’ however on reflection maybe the two subject aren’t so far apart! I’m late 30’s & increasingly feeling a little bitter about getting older & not being able to enjoy myself in the same way as when I was younger. This comment from Jonnyboy I thought was interesting, as you are assuming a midlife crisis is connected to stress when that’s not always the case is it. I have a good well paid job, rent a beachside flat, a nice car & group of friends I can trust, in fact in some respects for me life is the best it has ever been & I would never complain about things for me at the moment. But that doesn’t stop me reflecting on what lifes all about, or what could have been if things had gone differently. I’ve lived with girls previously, split up, moved on. So here I am heading towards 40, still single, watching all my mates bring up their children. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying I want kids or to meet someone, get married etc, far from it, I’ve gone past that now. None of my mates have the time to do stuff, nor do they have the money, socially everyone I know (rightly) has different priorities now. So now instead of being invited on the raz, I’m invited to a BBQ with a dozen kids running around. Things change, I know that, but I’m doing a fair bit of reflecting recently & wishing it was still the early 90's.
  19. Mine's also somewhere between UPS Eastleigh depot & my home
  20. Not pompey I know, but Farnborough docked points for financial irregularities. I don't beleive for one minute there won't also be some irregularities down the road! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17196052 Farnborough docked five points for financial irregularities Blue Square Bet South side Farnborough FC have been deducted five points and given a £5,000 suspended fine by the Football Conference after being found guilty of financial irregularities. The club were found guilty of submitting misleading information on quarterly financial returns. The Hampshire club intend to appeal against the decision. "I am extremely disappointed to hear of the Conference's verdict and penalty on Monday," said manager Spencer Day. "However the opportunity to make our defence and mitigation is at an appeal to the FA which we will be lodging as soon as possible. "The club has been found guilty of an offence dating back to a document due in June last year and a dishonoured cheque way before I took charge, but I accept that it is a club responsibility." Day continued: "Due to a series of events the club has yet to file any sort of defence to the charge and we look forward to the appeal where we can give the Conference and Football Association our position and let procedure run its course. "Naturally, as the first-team manager, this is potentially a massive blow to our survival chances, however we are still in a vastly better position in the league table than when we started in late November and I am very confident."
  21. teehee, that would make me chuckle!
  22. who is this Spdgun that you speak of
  23. For my 2000 post, I thought I’d mark the occasion with a comparison of the old dilapidated stadium our friends down the road used to have before they moved to their new mega waterside stadium. Look at them now..... Then…..
