In our last season in the Prem 04/05, away at Watford in the League cup. Left at 3 nil, it was 4 by the time I was down the road.

I remember that year holidaying in Cornwall with no mobile coverage. Every evening I headed up this big rural hill just to get a glimmer of coverage and see if we were going to survive. That was the week that the Pinnacle group looked set to invest but in the end didn't. At the time all I wanted was a team to support with the propect of being back in the Championship with a bit of a future. Can't believe not only where we are but how we are still moving forward. Not only do we look like staying in the Prem but actually being a bit of a force. Just ridiculous.

What a load of utter cr*p. The likes of Burnley and Blackpool go down straight away - teams that go up but dont really invest in order to stay up as they would then have players on big contracts in the NPC if they were to go down. We have laid down a marker with J Rod and personally I think there's more to follow. Look at the potential plans for the stadium. Clearly our owners mean business and are trying to make us a truly global prem name. And what makes this all the more unbelievable is that we clearly have a manager who has the winning mentality and the ability to transmit it to the players.
