but..would you still say that if we had played him in his proper position all the time and he had contributed goals and assists? I doubt it. All too often players get stick on here for this or that, when we played AS at left back everyone on here went nuts screaming for him to be moved back to midfield, but as its rudi, everyone just slags him off :smt119

Skacel for Hearts..played attacking left midfield, scored a lot and had most assists. Skacel for us under GB..played left midfield, more assists than anyone else!. Skacel is NOT a LB, we need goals = midfield it is then.

You already know my views on this but, in short, Lowe started the snow ball effect. He has not learnt from past mistakes and would not have done so even if he was here for the whole time. His management merry-go-round would have continued as history, and present day tells us. Yes granted Wilde should not have ******ed £7 million up the wall. Crouch however i feel a little less blame for.

yes ok lets... NP came in with a team with NO belief, no motivation, unfit, up in the air boardroom, best players out on loan. And he turned it round, he made the team fitter, worked harder both for themselves and each other, they believed in their own ability. Got the fans behind the team again. If you really think it was just a case of him "standing there shouting and pointing" then what you know about football you can write on a stamp. Still, i do agree with you that it is pointless comparing as it solves nothing for the current time, apart from Lowe got it wrong in my opinion.
