Bit harsh, you can be a saints fan and like different types of player. He was undoubtably a good player, but his claim to fame is winning southampton player of the year three times. We've had better players: Ron davies, Alan ball, Kevin keegan, Shilton, Terry paine, shearer, Wallace, and more recently van dijk, mane, bale. And if you look beyond saints, he wasnt as good as eg Hoddle, bergkamp or Cantona, who had similar ball skills, but also fitness and effort, and winning mentality. He's no messi, mbappe or Ronaldo is he? His main appeal is that he never had the ambition to leave us, and so got to be a big fish for a while. I was there when he scored in his last game vs arsenal, and loved it, but I also loved when benali scored vs Leicester, for similar reasons. If we could have any player back at peak form, I'd rather have shearer in our team than le tiss...

The problem with inviting people like him to promote a business is that the business can pick up a reputation and you can limit your customer base. I think more people see him as a cretin than a hero nowadays. I was around when he played and he was a lazy player, it has to be said. There's a reason he never reached top level, and it wasn't some great Venables conspiracy.

How is withdrawing eu funding "sabotage"? Surely they mean to help them "reclaim their sovereignty as an independent thinking nation"? And something about eu bureaucrats?

Breixt is turning out exactly as anticipated, and so I'm surprised everytime anyone is surprised. It was always clear to all sides about the consequences of the vote, and yet some still think we should have stayed, but its delivering exactly as promised. 1. We knew trade deals would be worse when negotiating as a single country than when dealing as a 27 country block. That's just an accepted consequence for 52% of the 2016 uk population. 2. We knew it would take a long time for the economy to recover, in the order of decades, not single digit years. We're still very early on. That guy from the beano who was in cabinet at the time said it would be 50 years. 3. We knew we would need to replace immigration from the EU with that from further afield, leading to an increase in racial diversity etc. And more complex challenges with integration. We knew all this very clearly before the vote. So we all knew brexit was self harm when it comes to economy and immigration. That's not why we, as a country, voted for brexit. We voted for brexit so that something something something, sovereignty something something. And we have that now.

I think there is just more awareness now. The teams probably had similar numbers of autistic and adhd in the past, they just weren't labelled or treated. I wish I'd been diagnosed sooner, I don't think it would have changed me personally, but it would have helped others understand more.

It's called black ice because although it is not actually black, it is a thin transparent layer and so appears black because of the road surface underneath. If we drove on pink roads, we'd be calling it pink ice.

I'm secretly vegan, because animal welfare, and health. But being secret, I do have to eat meat sometimes to avoid people finding out. Oh, and I do eat a lot of cheese, can't give that up. And milk is important for bone strength. And I do like a nice yoghurt. Bit apart from those things, I'm 100% with the vegan philosophy and diet.

Player of the season for me so far. Its hard to compare him to other keepers in the league because his role is so different, but for me he is streets ahead of anyone else. He's basically an extra outfield player for our passing game, and his completion stats are crazy considering he also hits the most long balls of any of our players. Hopefully he stays fit because we lose a whole dimension to our play without him, and don't think we would get top two if he got injured. Irreplaceable.

People joking about shooting, torturing etc., it does actually happen, one of my cats was shot in the eye, probably kids, but maybe one of you fuckers upset that he needed a poo. My advice would be to be nice to them, coo at them, try and give them a cuddle. They'll soon stop coming near for fear of attention. Anything else is just a challenge to them.

The vast majority do. Those that come, it's usually language, or family here. https://www.oasiscardiff.org/blog/why-do-refugees-leave-france-for-the-uk

What's your source on this? I'd not heard about yachts, but agree with you in principle‐ ferries would make sense. It would smash the gangs overnight, and we could undercut them on the fee and make some of the money we need to process their claims. If we got asylum seekers to spend their life savings on the process rather than to criminal gangs, we could process them much faster. Since the majority are legitimate claims, they would go through a legitimate challenge. Then you would have a case for any remaining small boats only being for illegal immigrants, they'd be spending extra to bypass a cheaper and quicker route, to get around the process. Then you have a case for deportations.

Same place, if you actually read the detail.

Are you implying that they aren't? If you want to know if rwanda is safe, you can read our government's foreign office travel advice. Spoiler, it's not that safe, fun quotes include: "conflict can flare up with little notice. There have been incidents of violent clashes on the DRC-Rwanda border in recent years, and armed incursions into the southwest of Rwanda." "LGBT individuals can experience discrimination and abuse, including from local authorities." "On 18 June, two people were killed and six were injured when suspected militants opened fire on a public passenger bus on Nyamagabe-Rusizi road, in Nyungwe Forest, Nyamgabe District." "Levels of health and safety in Rwanda are lower than in the UK. There have been incidences of buildings and construction sites collapsing, causing deaths and serious injuries. Fire safety standards are also variable, with incidences of fire in residential and public places a continuing risk." "The security situation near the border with the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Burundi remains unstable, and there has previously been armed attacks in Rwanda’s Nyungwe Forest and Volcanoes National Parks and neighbouring areas" "Only limited medical facilities are available in Rwanda. In the event of serious accident or illness evacuation by air ambulance to Kenya or South Africa may be required."

This is a great example of the importance of inclusive language. It's critical that trans men continue to get checked, and that they don't avoid it because of the way they might feel about it - making it clear that they will be treated respectfully is really important, and can save lives. Thanks for sharing.

Great goal. Reminiscent of le tiss vs Newcastle, with the two touch control and vision. There's a better angle around 6mins 30 here that shows the positioning. She is some player.
-
Don't know if I'd risk Manning though, we can't afford for him to get injured with bree already out.
-
Ederson plays for the same side as Haaland, and kane plays in the bundesliga. Apart from that, good point.

It's hard to know for sure as they keep selling out faster than they can supply. https://www.skysports.com/watch/news/13028554/mary-earps-replica-england-goalkeeper-shirt-sells-out-within-hours-again

This is quite a coincidence. I sell sofas, and wanted to go congratulate the players last week, but russell said sofas had nothing to do with the football and didn't let me see them. I felt snubbed but it didn't make the papers.

The people calling to quit are campaigners who spend their working days trying to educate and combat the epidemic of spiking that occurs on the daily. For the person heading the dept they need to influence to be joking about how a little bit of rohipnol not being illegal probably feels deeply inappropriate to them.

Farage? He's the winningest winner I know of, so probably him?

Given that our play style is so dependent on passing, and the sheer number of passes we make per game, it has to be our best passer of the ball. Gavin bazunu.
