  1. Yes, release the full backs and allow Aziz and fellows to find more central space and more attacking support. As it is, fellows and Aziz are just getting trapped and/or chasing back.
  2. Think we need to go back to 3 at the back...
  3. Are you suggesting he should have picked someone who could be a friend of trump and also not sympathise with paedophiles? Is that a thing?
  4. The men's team could get bigger crowds if they played in a bigger stadium in Birmingham or London. Why don't they, I wonder.
  5. I think Robinson could reach the heights of a Neil Heaney, or maybe even a Glenn cockerill . Dibling? I think will do slightly better, maybe a Walcott or perhaps a Rod Wallace if Everton hit a purple patch.
  6. Weren't they airport police? I think it would be weird to ask police to move away to a different location outside of the airport so that they can arrest someone with fewer members.
  7. He's pulling your chain. The London bar is right near the grand Hyatt and is full of white people, it's a cynical tourist grab targeted at UK tourists who are scared of Korean food and want something familiar. Union jacks abound. Not sure I've ever seen a Korean in there actually!
  8. Plenty of people on this board have chosen Southampton ahead of Paris.
  9. Not got sky, watching this guy instead https://www.youtube.com/live/X2eYQbCMOFI?si=kUsvhmoi8dpLc_ym
  10. Wouldn't it cause fewer clashes if they made sure they played each other? (4 games to rearrange instead of 8?)
  11. Trump was disappointed that it wasn't an immigrant, but relieved that they might be trans, so we can look forward to some deft political quotes from him in the coming day or two.
  12. BBD is sabotaging for a move, he probably saw the Troy deeney story in the week.
  13. We've lost a lot of very good players with potential over the years, and its caused a lot of upset every time. Don't think this is one of them, though - many fans ambivalent about it, probably because he had a purple patch of 2 or 3 games and has been bang average since. Towards the end of the season he was getting touted at 25m, so have to be happy with the deal. I think he'll do ok, probably make a similar impact at Everton as Walcott did.
  14. If he's genuinely blind, then he has done very well to get to 3rd GK championship standard, and ID love to see him do well. He could become the best blind mens goalkeeper since Gordon banks and follows the England women's trend as well with Hampton having strabismus.
  15. How are you defining "illegal" asylum seekers though? One thing that seems clear is that the government has changed strategy very quickly since coming in. The Tories focus was on finding accomodation to manage the numbers (hotels, offshore boats etc), and the bizarre non deterrent of Rwanda, whereas labour have come in and are trying to speed up processing and deportation rates, with some success so far, although all they are dealing with so far is the easy fixes, it will get more challenging once those are out of the way. I guess that's reflected in the number of hotels being used decreasing by 200 or so since labour came in. But it's not an easy challenge, for whoever is in power, I don't quite get why it is becoming such a hot topic just as we finally start to tackle it after 14yrs of failing to do so.
  16. We're 3 points clear, I don't know what you are all moaning about...
  17. Good work by us, Everton backed down on the add ons and sell-on clause, and chucked a couple of extra mill on top. Can't argue with that, especially for a player who hasn't had a good game in the last 10 months or so. Hopefully now we just spend it wisely...
  18. But only if you are content with council housing, as opposed to a luxury property in the commuter belt. If you are, then you could rent at 800pcm and have way more money by working. If it was accurate, how do couples on average salaries justify working? (60-80k household incomes). Why are employment figures so high if the state is so generous. My household income is less than 100k - are you seriously saying we could retire now? The reason I won't is because I like where I live, and wouldn't I have to go live in a shithole if I went down the benefits route? If you are right, then maybe we should open up another forum and help each other navigate how to get a 100k lifestyle without working, because I'd probably go for that, I could spend my days making art and going to the gym rather than bending spreadsheets all day.
  19. Not accurate, simple to check. Average childcare is 12k, which leaves 67k before rent. You can rent a nice (luxury) house in the country for 3k a month, and still have 31k in change, and I don't think those on benefits are living in 3k a month houses...
  20. Which women's English league is above the wsl? Isn't it the equivalent (same) level as the men's Premier league?
  21. Not that horrific, all the matches were competitive and no-one got injured, it was hardly the Somme. It was also not a mixed event, despite what any harry potter author may tell you. I think and hope that one day there will be some mixed sport events, eg in chess, or darts, where women can play safely against men without fear.
  22. You cant answer the question by quoting match results, as its not about a whole team of women, just one. If you look at being a striker in our games last season, all they need to do is run around a bit, and they'll touch the ball 3 or 4 times. kelly could have done the same job with the ball as archer or onuachu last season, and if we let her take corners, would have contributed as much as any of our front line did. Lauren james would definitely walk into last years team, she has an eye for a pass that noone in the team had. The risk is that they get their bones broken by the opposition, but just don't go in to tackles, we had plenty of bottle jobs in the team already anyway.

  24. Bank Holiday if we win the world cup I think, not for euros. Not comparable to the men's game, this one was actually fun to watch and we won. Watching England men is like watching saints, just self punishment and a continual let down.
  25. Baz is better than people here think, and gets over scrutinised for every move he makes. His stats were very similar to ederson and only slightly below Allison during the promotion season, it was partly the fault of our system of play, which focussed on giving opponent strikers the ball in the most dangerous positions on the pitch. He's looked good preseason, I'm not worried if ramsdale goes. For some reason from day one ramsdale got a pass for minor errors, whereas baz gets pilloried for the same things. If fans can get over that, he'll be fine.
