I think he was unlucky not to get a goal or two, he created himself a few chances. His little dinks to the far post were a danger in the final games of the season, and as well as 5 assists there will have been a few goals where he opened things up for the team. His meandering cross field runs were often successful as an outlet, or in committing their players and pulling players out of position, critical in the modern game. I think he offers something a little different and is a good option to have - hard to replace. I prefer matsuki for effectiveness but if it's not working I think fellows can come in and switch things up, or vice versa.

It does rub it in though when you can view yesterday's arsenal training session on YouTube. Yes it's not EFL but it obviously doesn't provide much of a sporting advantage if the current premier League champions are happy to show their final training session ahead of the biggest game of their season to the entire world. The fact that we could do it one week, against man city, and not the next against Boro, is also a bit annoying. The idea that it is cheating is a bit much I think, it's breaking the rules, nothing more, and with much less sporting advantage than the likes of the rules that Leicester, west brom, bournemouth, man city, Newcastle have all broken.

Keep. It's not that big of a deal and will be old news by August, there's a world cup between now and then. Boro (and some of our fans for some reason) can clutch their pearls as much as they like - if Boro had gotten promoted, do you think they wouldn't scout their opponents because of some moral duty? No, they'd be doing it every week. The act is just not that naughty. Its a technical fail, and disrupted this season, but next season is a fresh chance - if we keep the core we can win this league at a canter.

I think the public (us) can get involved here. There is nothing in the rules that says a member of the public can't go and stream training sessions, if they are not trespassing (which you can do at Boro, Oxford etc) We could stream all of Middlesbrough's training in the days leading up to our game with them (or all of their games, for that matter) and show them on YouTube. Then it becomes impossible to prove if a member of saints staff views the YouTube videos. And eventually sanity will prevail and they'll either remove the rule or clubs will stop training in public.

Feels a bit like justice, hull won their games on the pitch. And best of all we don't have to lose to them again next season the awkward bastards.

These past examples were not cheating, they are just more evidence that this is normal outside of the league we happen to be be in. It's not "spying", it's "scouting", and it really isn't that big a deal. Personally I think they should just scrap the rule and clubs will self police by securing their training ground like we have like any prem club has, like any European club has, if they don't want people scouting their training...

There aren't that many clubs you can do it to. No-one has spied on saints for example, because staplewood is a secure site.

I only get 3 posts so being very careful with what I can say here. Even with a pessimistic view on outgoings, we still have a very good chance of a very good season next year, that team looks decent (and missing fellows) and it's likely we would find another couple of gems. Assuming that saints will never be allowed to play again, what happens to the stadium? Can eastleigh use it maybe? Would be kind of fun to have a 30k stadium and we all switch to support Eastleigh through the various fun leagues. And what happens to the player contracts etc? Do they just get cancelled?

Yes but the punishment is undefined, and as such there is a lot of grey area in what would be proportionate. If we didn't gain an advantage, expulsion would be disproportionate. If, as Boro say, the footage was deleted and never reached us, then the advantage is minimal, as demonstrated by the fact our tactical setup was all wrong and we had to adjust after seeing them play the first 45mins...

EDI as a principle is based on the equality act 2010, addressing discrimination and disparities for under represented groups, as determined by the data and evidence (EDI is a data led sector). If they can evidence white working class men being discriminated against through data and evidence, then they can weaponise EDI, and use the same principles to address their grievances in the same way that the so called woke brigade do so for other under-represented groups.
